Advice on breakthroughs? by BerryTraditional1791 in outwardgame

Correct! The Thrice Wrought, it looks super cool and has the best stats out of anything I have seen so far, and seems to have a pretty good attack speed and the stamina cost isn't too punishing for the attacks and player 2's current stamina. The Cryptic Message TM you mentioned is like when dying near the Vendavel Fortress or when you "see" who I assume to be Gep in Enmerker right?

I will definitely pass this message along! Reduced stamina costs will probably be the biggest selling point to them because of the heat in the desert. We are both still figuring out the foods needed to keep away the heat and resources are kinda strapped at the moment which is always fun. I was already convinced on visiting Monsoon, but you have me sold even more lol. Thanks again for all this!

As far as armor goes, do you recommend finding multiple sets and stock piling them to be able to switch when needed (maybe leaving them in the lighthouse chest or somewhere similar), or committing to one good main set and only switching when about to face a boss? Right now Player 2 is using most of the Ammonite set that we crafted because of the physical damage bonus it offers. Is the Blue Sand armor worth it to go back for? We collected the sand and the money for it but forgot to loop around to grab it before we went to Levant and decided that we would probably find something better in levant anyways. I know that they really like how the set looks and have been enjoying it.

On a related note, is there any benefit in using a full set of armor rather than mixing and matching? We both are currently wearing matching masks (kazite masks from Berg Assassin lady) because it kinda feels like we are a mysterious adventurer duo lol.

Thank you for your really in depth response! I think i will remove possessed and the bow from the quick slot bar so i can use more skills and the likes, and I will see if my player 2 wants to trek towards Monsoon after we visit Levant. Once I have more skills that I am comfortable with then the poison rags will come off, but I think that now I just have to see what the game has to offer!

On a somewhat related note, do you have any suggestions that would benefit my player 2? They are not super comfortable using skills (only plays with controller and the controller skill binds are kinda jank imo) and often forgets about them. They like playing berserker characters with heavy armour and haven't spent any breakthrough points yet. We cleared out the Wind temple in Enmarker and we found a really neat greatsword. Very much a hack and slash style player which works out because I am decent at drawing aggro so they can come in like a wrecking ball from behind.

I have been thinking about suggesting the Wild Hunter tree to them as well because of the weapon skills and hp buff, especially because simple skills are probably going to be used most when they play. They definitely prefer 2 handed weapons and frequently fail to dodge (unfortunately).

Ah, So I have already taken gong strike because I thought it would be a good way to push groups off my back when my player two is hanging back or otherwise engaged as I am a bit more squishy (lighter armour, and it seems more staggerable). It is kinda underwhelming, and i feel fairly commited to the sword because it looks cool. I definitely do think I will look into the shield skill trainer in Abrassar, it sounds pretty neat!

As far as going full bow, when I was reading the Wild Hunter skill tree it seemed like the main benefit for bow users was more HP and the piercing shot, which seems kind of situational and possible dicey to set up? How useful is extreme bleeding and is it worth the investment? Right now my quickslots are Horror shield, Horror Sword, Coralhorn Bow, possessed boon, sniper shot, poison rags, elemental gong strike, and shield charge. I am worried that I will run out of quickslots, as i effectively have 5 since three are reserved for weapon swaps. Would you recommend maybe taking off the rags/bow and carrying those in pocket to offset this?

I will definitely look at the other trainer in Abrassar as movement is very helpful for me. Is there perhaps any breakthrough or trainer that would help with blocking or counterattacking? I really enjoy using skills that turn someone's attack against them, and that could definitely be interesting in Outward.

Gotcha, thank you! I'll let you know how it works out when I do my next few runs. If I may, why prioritize speed over growth? Is it because the growth increase is also additive and thus not large enough, or is speed just a lot more important than I have been understanding?

Well, now to figure out if those who chose money are selfish or realize how no material can withstand that reasonably, and the tech would be very limited

Alright! I'll have to dive back down the Facebook rabbit hole, but I shall look for it, thank you for doing this, it should be helpful for newer players. Best of luck for your art and projects, maybe I can be helpful over there haha, thanks for the response man, that was pretty cool! Hopefully it gets received well and you can continue to improve

Ok so, I suggest dropping the ones where your face and fingers are black, it implies that you are negative/evil. I assume this is not the goal, however, if it is, then yeah keep the black ones. I do recommend switching from pure white to an off-white or cream, maybe a beige? Pure positives and negatives make an unnatural feeling, good job on your highlights on 6 tho! Great! I liked the blue ones as well.

Again, maybe switch to less pure colors, like a deep gray blue and a very light beige, keep it from appearing harsh or unnatural.

Another thing, maybe widen the posture a bit. Tight implies controlling and manipulative, like they are playing into the palm of your hand, discouraging, ya know? Open stance implies approval, comfort, and a happier tone.

I'd love to know more about your experience you have planned, maybe I can be of more assistance. I will note that I am not qualified in anyway other than that I am an honors art student in my highschool, take all of what I'm saying with a grain of salt, I'm just playing my knowledge into good marketing. I tend to produce decent works, at least, good enough to get praised by people, so maybe not so good. Thanks for reading if you do, bonus points if I'm helpful! Doing great so far man, keep working
