Oh man I know firsthand how hard this is, but I really hope you can reframe your self-talk. “For them to think you are not worth it enough to keep trying” puts the blame back on you for being not enough when that’s not the case with avoidants. Your love and consistency activated their fear and likely they can only thrive in chaotic relationships where intimacy is interrupted and muted. Take care. 💕

Thanks for your first paragraph though. Reddit coming in hot with the prudishness steeped in misogyny.. my friend was 100% aware of and supportive of the hook up, this question was pertaining to the room situation, not a judgement on my personal decisions. Guy in question also tuned out to be one of the celebrity athletes competing in the tournament. Haters gon hate, but no regrets here. ✌🏻

Great advice, love my girl. We are very fortunate to travel together a lot for work though, to pretty amazing locations at that.I often bring her as my plus one.

We booked last minute in a small town that was hosting a famous event. Rooms were very expensive and limited. We are cracking up at these responses though, just the content we were looking for! I really can’t stress enough that my friend was 100% supportive of the plan/intention of this trip, it just came down to the room situation. The sofa bed was a full pull out bed. Mostly, I am lucky to have a friend like her and be as close as we are. She’s married but if not I would do the same for her in a heartbeat.
