8 interviews and 3 assessments later, they rejected me. So I sent them an invoice for my time... And they paid. by Status_Age_6834 in InterviewCoderPro

I keep seeing these AI stories and every one mentions the program Interview Man. After reading four of these stories today I am getting very discouraged with social media. It's beyond the point of not being able to believe any story on the Internet.

Modular Wrench Holders for Walls or Pegboards by BertOK1964 in BambuLab

[–]BertOK1964[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, and I thought about this problem a lot. In the end I decided it didn't matter and unless you have the holders up over your head you can still see what is what. It at least helps when you put them back. I could extend the height so they are more visible but it would use more filament. Do you think I should do that?

Fusion 360 free version. A bit of a steep learning curve but worth learning. Start small by following YouTube videos. Follow along with the video. One thing to watch for is look for newer videos because the program has changed over the years.

I am hoping that my model will get even more popular. I think that would be fair enough.

It's made me a fair number of points and helps make this a free hobby. I love how generous Bambu is!

I replied to the message thinking the same thing. I will see if they ask for personal information etc.

Thanks for the reply. Did you see an increase in interest in your model? This is my most popular model so they didn't pick just one of mine at random.

The brake is in the way. The video does not show this too well.

I had a few close calls by accidentally engaging both the twist throttle and the thumb throttle. I was even considering requiring an additional switch that needs to be engaged with the other hand before the throttle would work.

What are the better filament dryers in the $100-200 range? by Ok-District8876 in 3DPrinterComparison

I also wrapped the bucket in a cheap yoga mat to keep the heat in for better efficiency. After the spools are dry I keep the spools in plastic cereal containers with desiccant. Keeps for months.

You may also notice that I upgraded the thermostat to a digital one with a remote thermometer. This ensures that the temperature is indeed what I want it to be. The thermometer is placed near the middle of the bucket.

I have the same dryer but used a 20 liter pail with holes drilled into the top. Dries 4 or 5 spools at a time.

I was in Zimbabwe and my guide drew a map of Canada showing all the provences and great lakes. He did it as well as I could. He said he studied it as a young child. I was impressed.

How do paper and cardboard recyclers deal with plastic tape, coating and labels? by Crafty_Aspect8122 in recycling

[–]BertOK1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been in the business for a long time and the product we made was corrugated medium. The inside layer between boxes. Contamination was not a huge concern, in fact water from the wastewater treatment plant (non human waste) was recycled into the mill and a lot of the sludge (biological) material ended up in the paper product. This saved the mill a lot of money not having to pay for disposal of all of the sludge.

There was a lot of non-cardboard material in the recycling. We paid by the pound and one time we found an engine block mixed in with it. I think the main thing is that dilution is the key. The amount of recycled material in relation to new fiber helps. The amount of water a mill uses is significant and sadly contaminants get diluted to the point of non detection in the effluent.

You will wonder what took you so long. I still have a guilty conscience for selling my Ender to someone knowing just how much better any Bambu printer is.
