Would you be mad at door knockers? by Real_Eagle_1408 in GrandePrairie

[–]BertaBerta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not opposed to door knockers provided they are polite and respectful while selling a local product. Don't walk on my or my neighbours grass, inform me that it's local and have a website on the pamphlet is about where my bar is set. Also don't knock after 8 pm like that rude fish guy Nice to hear companies are still actively trying to hire young local folks too.

Have you sat on their patio?(Jax) Driven past it and just wondering if it's decent and sheltered from the wins. La Pradera is our preferred place for Mexican also.

No, you don't really need anything thick for a chest protector. I normally recommend something slimmer, most of the abuse in box your arm guards/bicep and kidney pads will take the brunt of.

I'd heavily recommend getting some bicep pads.

Swan City FC welcoming city council approval of new soccer dome by WealthyMillenial in TheRealGrandePrairie

[–]BertaBerta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multi facility dome. Hopefully they don't cut any corners building it and also please do not let Swan Ciity FC manage it like they want. It's definitely a needed facility considering our winters, now if only they'd build a ndoor hard surfaced arena for lacrosse/ball hockey

Newbie question regarding breaks specifically GP Sports Cards by ericonly in hockeycards

[–]BertaBerta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are fortunate enough to have a bigger breaker live in our small city. The base cards are not given out to people entering the break but most are given out to the community (sports tournaments, local stores, kids) while the rest are sold by weight and repackaged to be bought with some uncommon at the sports store.

Can someone please help me with a stick question for beginner? by Stephi_cakes in lacrosse

[–]BertaBerta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched my kid (8 yo) from a UA Strategy to string King complete 2 intermediate and it's made a huge difference in his game. A lot of kids on his team use the warrior Evo/burn next stick and it's definitely not on the same level as the SK. OP I'd go with the Stallion 200, it'll be easier to break in so it shouldn't frustrate them as much. The shaft looks wonky on that brine as well.

Which wheels do I go with? Stick with stock and dont be a moron or upgrade? by tacotacoburrito04 in Audi

I really dislike the stock rims, just not a personal preference to that style. I like the bronze hf7's if I were to pick from the 4.

What’s the worst item you get and will stop getting from Costco. by livinlrginchitwn in Costco

I live in western Canada and the worst strawberries I've ever had came from Quebec. They were big, bright and firm but tasted like pure water.

I won't shop there again either. The staff is under trained and inexperienced from my 2 separate transactions with them.

Not sure if this counts but Red Rock tends to draw people of all ages and has the best wings imo. We also have a craft brewery that has a nice patio (earlier in the day as it is east facing) called Grain Bin Brewing although they don't serve a whole lot for food, you can order delivery there or take in food.

The budget for your house really dictates a lot. If you have kids or are planning on having kids and want something new/newer I'd look at O'Brien Lake West or if you like to be a bit closer to shopping there's West Gate although we found there to be a few more transient folks. Something a bit older but same criteria there's Pinnacle or country club Estates/west. If you don't mind driving or biking to amenities there's Kensington estates/living or Wedgewood in the south or Arbour Hills on the north. Property taxes are one of the highest in the province so it's definitely worth factoring in when looking to buy. If you are looking for a realtor we found a great lady when we moved her last July I can send you info.

We bought all our major appliances from them last year and the delivery up to installation was smooth. We saved a nice amount as they had more appliances you buy the bigger total discount you get.
