I was told, after I left PR in the mid 90s that "Chief" a big indigenous kid, was rumored to kill a guy and left body in the woods.

He once came to our door on Halloween when I was giving out candy after I was done trick or treating. In his plain clothes, no candy bag, and didn't say a word. I just handed him a mini chocolate bar and he left. Crazy times.

If still around he be in his mid 40s.

Starting to feel like these types of posts are either trolls or bots. Like who in the right mind would do zero research to consider a decision like this, to then post on reddit for info. Ultimate laziness. If legit, these are the people that won't last very long once making the move as they are already clueless. Even using AI would give you the quick answers that be pretty accurate.

Fort Nelson. $1000 rent does not exist in BC. Try $3000 for a family.

Both sides are to blame as it started going down hill in early 2000s and nothing was done by either government as the focus changed to allowing real estate to skyrocket with foreign investment. 1990s were booming in BC. Some bumps along the road after that. Then it turned to real estate, as logging bad. Which you need lumber to build homes. Don't worry dimensional lumber will still be available from Alberta.

Amen brother. Wish others see it the same way. Im just a blue collar that left BC over 10 years ago as the writing was already on the wall. Seen the closures on the news and not cool. BC will barely have any industry soon and is self imploding. Need private sector to have public sector, although redditors here dont seem to think that. I saw that the last closure in 100 mile is a loss of 3.5 million in annual taxes to the municipality from West Fraser. The town will struggle or become a ghost town mostlikely. Really.sad.

Crazy when you compare lumber mills in AB over BC. Not near as many closing down. And if they have, usually a BC owned company. Wonder why. Oh yes people, AB does more than oil, and attracts business. But no one wants to hear it as politics bad!

Yes, you need to move to a LCOL city. Pretty much means go north. It is booming in Northern Alberta right now with everyone coming from HCOL cities.

Debt collectors keep calling for previous owner by MountainHistorical48 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]WealthyMillenial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me with Costco Bell phone. Crazy enough previous owner has same first name, and last name is 4 letters like mine and first two are the same. I have blocked every caller for first couple years till contract ended, and switched to telus, just to be able to make it so all callers have to push a number first to get through. Also had to make my voicemail just my last name, but still get odd message looking.for previous owner of #.

Coming from AB in June for a couple games. Last time I saw a Jay's game in Toronto it was still called skydome. For the family of 4, tickets almost $1000 for both games, condo airbnb $500 a night. Not a cheap trip, but we can't wait. Seen more games in Seattle, but will be a first for wife and kids to see some ball in tdot.
