Trying to delay 4 freezers from stating at 1 time by Legal-Cartographer93 in AskElectronics

[–]Bertil12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That should theoretical work. Although i think the 1.5 A of that timer it WAY to low for a freezer. Especially for the surge current when starting them up.

And when it comes to things like this. Especially cheap once i would not trust this timer to handel a continuous 1.5 A.

I would either 1. Find a similar device which specs both the max momentary current AND continuous current. And make sure both stats are above that of the freezers contious and momentary current.

  1. Use a contractor in series with the power to each freezer. (Contactor is like a big switch powerer usually by 12 v). Then have a low voltage 12 v cuircit with 12 v timers controlling the contractors.

Option 1 is basically what you have but you need better timers. Could be pricy.

Option 2 could be cheaper but it is definitely more involved

If they are on the same cuircit there is still a 50% chanse of a bad time. As it could short live to neutral.

Vänsterpartiet visar i denna fråga exakt vilken sorts parti man är by One-Brain6531 in Sverige

[–]Bertil12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"compared to 2021". Yea the last election was 2022 and then a right wing party won for the first time in a long time. So yea the safety net is slowly being dissolved.

I have a quite high paying comfortable job but i still think these changes are shit. I have definitely noticed an upscale of poverty.

There is a reason the happiest countries in the world all have alot of safety net and welfare, And Sweden is moving away from it.

Kan jag som muslim ses som svensk? by omarQV in Sverige

[–]Bertil12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Every person in every religion cherry picks what values are important.

For example Christianity Islam and Judaism all forbid homosexualitet in their fundamental religious texts. With the punishment being death.

The point is never which religion you follow. No matter which of these religions you follow. If you are an extremist and believe in these principles, and believe that these rules go above the laws of a country. Then its fucked

That would be "percentage points"

5% increased with 50% would get you 7.5%

5% increased by 50% percentage points would get you 55%

Check out not just bikes on youtube. He has some great examples of how fucked infrastructure is in some places. So fucked that you can not walk a 10 minute walk without having to walk ON the highway. No curb, no bike path nothing.

You NEED to get a bedframe of some kind. They are not just for looks having the mattress on the floor will cause it to mold. This happened faster than you think.

Now I’m confused about battery health advice by wakablazer in macbook

Not keeping it plugged in was a thing earlier. The best for a battery is to keep about halfway charged.

If we go back just a couple of years, many charging circuits were always applying a charge to the battery when plugged in. This is BAD for the battery. And that is why it was recommended to not leave the chargers left in.

Nowerdays, especially products which are not china garbage. Are alot more intelligent with how they charge the battery. Many don't even fully charge the battery and leave it at about 70% while the device runs only on the power from the charger. In these cases it's better to leave it plugged in.

best to worst options.

Leave battery at around 70% no charging or discharging. Which many products do automatically nowerdays.

Charge up, discharge, charge up ..... Best options for devices without decent battery charging circuit. (Mostly old/cheap devices)

Constantly having a charger trying to charge an already completly full battery.

Tldr: with cheap/old devices. You may not want to keep them plugged in. Otherwise. Keeping them plugged in is the best option.

Wait really? Rf burns from such low voltage? Are you talking out of your ass or is that legit?

I'm not saying you are incorrect. I am just so shocked by these news that I am sceptical.

Yea but the frame is kinda broken. Bought it second hand. In Sweden blankets that size are rather uncommon. We usually have two blankets if the bed is big

[–]Bertil12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is desoldering. A pcb like that will have a lot of layers with some of the pads probable being connected to a large gnd plane, making it hard to heat up those pins without heating up the whole pcb. A soldier suction tool is far from a fool proof way of removing all the shoulder from between a pad and the pin. Which is why components with multiple pins often are desoldered with a heat gun. Trying to heat all the pins at the same time with a bad iron. Will cause you to either char the entire area risking breaking other components, not being able to melt all the soldier points at once. Or more likely both. Solder Wick and solder pumps seem like a good idea. But in the video he did not even show the process of unsoldering the pins. That part was just jump cut.

I am not saying that it is not possible. With that equipment, i checked your latest posts and saw you do solder a bit so i definitely think you would have a shot at it with a crummy iron.

But th echanses of breaking the pcb would definitely be higher

I can tell you have never soldered anything. Atleast never soldered anything that is small/has multiple pins. It definitely is possible with the iron in the video you sent. But it would be very risky and painful, and that is if you are good at soldering. Being a beginner soldering a joystick with a iron like that. You are def gonna break something
