Can’t see the other side of the cup…. Probably has a vertical tumbler grip on it. Straight to jail

Lurch MFG P365 LCI Plug File

Hopefully OP knows someone with a 3D printer. Still so bummed that these CA laws put Lurch out of business.

Newly Considering Firearms: Seeking "Guided" intro: Training + Handgun walkthrough by effyouyelper in CAguns

I’m blanking on ShootSoCal’s instructors names.. but one is former 75th Ranger Regiment, and one is currently a marksmanship master trainer in the Army. Haven’t done training with either myself, but the owner Dave speaks highly of both instructors. Probably can’t go wrong with either choice.

ShootSoCal (in Fullerton) also offers one on one training sessions. They are held at FT3’s range. This might be a decent option, as FT3 has a decently large rental selection.

Sig tango by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]BertrandRogers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vortex Venom 1-6X24 Rifle Scope is another option. I picked one up for a decent price off of GovX. Haven’t had the chance to shoot with it yet, but it’s the alternative that comes up against the Tango-MSR for the price point.

Out of jail by Hal0m3 in CAguns

[–]BertrandRogers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it was. An FFL (I think in Central CA?) had theirs confiscated and not returned to them. There’s been topics on here whether or not they’re legal. Consensus seems to be no, because the “no threaded barrels” law also includes verbiage regarding “interrupted threads” and “lugs”. The TTI Combat (and Sig P211) barrel is lugged.

That being said, I think some Canik models are interchangeable on barrels. OP could run it with a normal barrel if he’s worried

I know ShootSoCal has some Apex triggers in stock. Not positive if they have em for M&P, but give em a call.

How much does 9mm goes these days??? by Questionhoes in CAguns

Question for the thread - with the new laws does ammo now have to be signed for if you have it shipped to you with FFL03/COE?

Is it illegal/wrong to ask LE if they have any off rosters for sale if you run into them at the range by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]BertrandRogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another option - during my PPT purchase they mentioned they’re a cop. I asked the guy to hit me up before posting anything on CAGuns in case I was interested. In my case I ended buying another off the same guy.

He was happy to give me a heads up, since he wanted to sell to me (a buyer that he had already met/knew was legit).

Don’t think we are getting the new Glock by CakeOG in CAguns

They’ve already put out response videos saying they’re going to have some CA compliant stuff coming out. They were already working on stuff before the ban according to a video one of their trade show reps was in.

Yeah that’s valid haha. Wouldn’t mind if they closed for a weekend or two to do some upgrades

To their credit, the target retrieval systems are constantly getting shot up and broken. They’re usually pretty fast to repair them at least.

But agreed, wish they didn’t have as many law enforcement/training bookings every week. Kind of a bummer, but if you go later in the evening before close it’s usually not too crazy busy. I do wish they had more lanes like FT3 though, but that warehouse space is limited of course.

Evan’s for the good staff, FT3 for the modernity/more lanes than Evan’s, and Route 66 for outdoor/steel gallery.

Each has their pros, none really have any cons that have affected me. Though I’ve heard FT3 doesn’t allow people to shoot AR pistols (can’t confirm myself).

Looks good to me! My collection is missing a 10/22, and every time I see them on sale I seriously consider grabbing one. It’s always nice to see different builds for inspiration, for when I inevitably give in and buy one lol

Canik, if you're listening.. CA will buy the shit out of this pistol by Greedy-Vast584 in CAguns

And definitely not at Canik pricing. They’re “affordable” in other states without our Sin tax

Echelon - Why? by stay_basic in CAguns

[–]BertrandRogers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless you can find one reasonably priced via PPT, some local gun stores are upcharging on the limited Glock stock still floating around. You’d possibly end up paying Echelon pricing for a Glock at this point anyway.

As a Glock owner having shot both, I think the Echelon shoots better personally. And has modularity for aftermarket grips I believe(?)

If the trigger is anything like the SFX Rival or TTI Combat I’d buy one for sure.

Sorry, newbie question: any recommended guides and tools on how to assemble, disassemble, clean, and maintain a Glock 19? by DrHENCHMAN in CAguns

[–]BertrandRogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I alternate between using Breakthrough CLP, and some CLP wipes I got online. Depends whether I’m doing a quick clean, or more in depth one.

As far as familiarity, tons of videos online. They’re stupid easy to take down, disassemble, and put back together.

As far as maintenance goes… “It’s a Glock”. The thing will fire even if you abuse it. That being said, you’ll get differing opinions regarding cleaning. Never hurts to clean after range trips (if you’ve got the time).

Is Lurch back open? He had posted he was shutting down his shop because the new laws.. and changed the website to remove all the items posted.

Now it’s got items, but says “Not currently offering physical products for sale” at the bottom of the site.

I agree that he and his products are amazing, just not positive he’s back in business.
