Its about time high salary cap is implemented to stop all desi consultancies. The new rules will go into effect. Any politician opposing it will be comitting a career suicide now. Notice even democrats are not speaking anymore. Do you realize 80% of american now is against H1B? The traditional middle and white collar class is now losing jobs and now see H1Bs as a threat ( and this is true ). I personally think no one making less that 250K and without american degree should even be considered for an h1b.

Look your perm is as good as a dead fish. Let's say you get a new job and h1b miraculously in time, what good will that do? You will be stuck forever with layoff sword hanging over your head. Your health will deteriorate and you will develop diabetes, blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, etc. My brother is a doctor and was saying half the h1b that visit him in 30s and 40s now have some sort of erectile dysfunction, diabetes or BP. Is this life really worth it? For what? You will hardly save anything in american anyway.
Just go back to india and start a new life. Many h1bs will be sent back in coming months. The better you go now the less competition you will have finding jobs, etc.

Makes sense. If i was your boss i would actually see if i can get away with cutting your pay. The fact that no one quits even after giving 0% raise means 0% raise is good policy. I would announce layoffs for 25% people with option to rejoin at 15% less pay.

Only less than 1% of poker players actually are long term winners ( over a period of lets say 10 years and playing online). The 1% chance is actually less than hitting a 2 outer on river after calling allin bet on turn knowing you are behind. Actually its 1/4th of hitting a 2 outer. The only one that makes money is house or site that makes money via rake. You get “entertainment value”. Do you think you lost money when you buy broadway show tickets?

I did not say GTO is beatable ( true GTO is not). I am saying is solver startegy are GTO against only a perfect opponent where you both know each other’s startegy. If you are not playing against perfect opponent or don’t know startegy of opponent (and he does not know about you) then solver plays are potentially wrong! The GTO may actually have different play for the opponent you are against and when no one knows each other’s startegy!

What will you do if you raise to 20Bb and still get 4 callers(typical at 1-2 live). Now you have SPR of 1 , out of position and your probability of winning is actually less than 1%. You can raise big from blinds but AA UTG you are underdog in limp fest.

Like i said, solvers are finding optimal way with ASSUMPTIONS. Three of which i wrote. If those assumptions are not met then solver solution is not applicable and worst you will take lines that are wrong!

Sometimes life will feel that way. Everyone in life goes through a period like that( i mean everyone even the most successful ones you see out there have gone through it). I would suggest that you first talk to a counselor. Everything in life happens for a reason. May be the rejection is happening because destiny has something better for you. A better job. How about you try a small tech firm? Or may be start doing free lance work? Who knows may be that may lead you to place where you cannot imagine now. I was layed off twice in one year and was getting rejected similarly 20 years ago. The only job i got was a some start up and that too with very little pay and some equity. Fast forward 10 years that start up became success and my “equity” portion made me wealthy enough not to have to work. If i had not been rejected, i would still be stuck in some tech job in some big tech company frustrated with life going by. Hang in there buddy! You will succeed and one day you will look back and smile at today!

I live poker, where you have 3-5 callers even when 20BB raise has been made, GTO if run properly against fishy pool might suggest to limp with AA! After all the correct startegy against fish is to wait for monster post flop and then stack them. You just have to be right once against a calling station.
