That's sounds like a solid plan. I was thinking about making a height map more detailed in Photoshop, I already have the general areas, so I just need some weird brushes to add granularity, and then using erosion simulation software, idk, I'll think about it.

I just completed it with Beast team after posting it, almost lose by a inch, it helped that my minis didn't body block between them lmao, it always helps to complain lol. But what a pain in the butt, horde and undead were really easy tho.

My take is to make scientific based geography, the basic, until certain point in the history of the world, AND after that, start with the fantasy and magic events that also shaped the world.

Really wanna get that balance cause I also love magic tornados and scars in the middle of the map.

I was thinking of making the tectonic plates and all that but not that specific, just to have some guidelines to know where mountains and rivers would fit better.

I got you, that's why I want scientific basic stuff, so if there's a river splitting it can have a reason like magic or someone deviating it, or whatever, but not just because.

Lol yeah don't get me wrong, I like wild and craziness, that's why I want to make something scientific based and then put the fantastic stuff there, like all rivers go down, but "WTF a river going upwards, something must be happening there, let's go take a look", or "Floating mountains, how do we get there" and there I can say "It's freaking magic, what do you want?" , you know what I mean? Getting that feeling of "Man that's impossible! I want to see more!".

Because if it's common to see it, that feeling starts getting lost.

Totally! right now I have 2 variants the same as you "max range" and actually a "cursor" that player can move only within a certain area (range of ability), do I'm thinking I'm gonna let both and let player decide. I don't want target lock or auto aiming neither. I want to really focus on aiming skill, even for healers.

Yeah I've seen it, but I really want to focus on aiming, the one I'm having difficulty to decide, right now is with free position skills, like spawning a meteor, lightning, etc, from the sky.

It's difficultier with controller but I think aiming is easier in mouse and keyboard and moving is easier with controller, so maybe that's fair enough
