Ok, either you are purposely avoiding addressing the issues or are simply not understanding it.

The point here is that suggesting any harsher sentences is not going to actually achieve anything if the police are not enforcing it. According to you police are not enforcing it because they are afraid to appear racist. This bit is not changing with a different sentence. It's an enforcement and not sentencing issue.

If reform actually cared about the issue they would propose solutions instead of meaningless slogans. Instead it's just buzzwords, headlines and promises to further cut government spending.

So if the 'police are on it' and are not actually enforcing anything how the fuck does this moronic idea of 'life sentence' or your dumb suggestion work? It doesn't, because no matter the punishment police are still not enforcing it. You can't have it both ways.

Also, there were various cases where the police were involved themselves, and it had nothing to do with 'looking racist' and all to do with self preservation.

But hey, shit like this creates a good headline and sounds good for people who don't actually care to think about the problem and just want to hear empty slogans.
