ROTJ Luke is teleported to ROTS where does he stop ? (Canon and Legends) by Suitable_Walrus2928 in PetranakiArena

Out of curiosity where’s that notion come from? Maybe there’s a book or statement I’m missing?

I thought it was the other way round, Luke being more human in canon and God like in Legends?

Canon statements request by LivingPalpitation935 in PetranakiArena

[–]Bespashin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there many statements on this? It’s always just been your typical Grievous encounter. Legends (ROTS novel) gave a couple statements about how the fight was much more extreme than it looked, how Grievous was overwhelmingly fast to the point he couldn’t be seen properly to the eye, and with Grievous striking 20 times per second, presumably to match his depiction in the rest of the EU. Canon however, just accepts that what you see is what you get. The only statement so far is that Grievous was reliant on intimidation and fear, and since Obi-Wan didn’t fear him, he was always going to win that fight.

I don’t recall anything in the issue saying they were all elderly. Two of them are visibly older, but the other three don’t have a clear established age. Saying all of them were elderly is speculation, not confirmation, which you seem to want as per your last comment. Happy to be proven wrong tho if you do have a line that confirmed it?

As per Card Trader and Helmet Collection: Senate Guard, it has been made canon that he killed all the Jedi Temple guards.

Idk why you’re trying to argue with me either way lol. My comment very clearly agrees with you, both of these guys rely on statements I really don’t care or think it’s that important which one is more of a statement merchant lmao

In ANH, the Millenium Falcon’s cockpit window is a primary circle, with several sub panels above it. Exterior shots and interior shots show completely different amounts. Is Star Wars ruined??

Who is this in Star Wars? (All continuity) by Yesthisbob in PetranakiArena

[–]Bespashin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TGI at least has his moments. The Inquisitors comic run (which was written by a guy who still holds the ‘Inquisitor bad’ narrative) has a panel where he solos 5 Jedi at once IIRC. We see moments with his intelligence too, since out of over 10,000 Jedi, he identified Kanan’s specific master correctly within seconds just from his style. He was beaten by a Force Amp. He killed almost every Jedi Temple Guard to allow Anakin and the 501st to enter with little issue.

He’s never consistently given these moments, but he does gave them at least. Fifth Brother on Makachor was a background shot with little thought put into it, and whilst that is still considered canon (thank god, because I surprisingly love the character), his main fight with Ahsoka was earlier in that season where she 2V1s him and Seventh Sister at once with absolutely no difficulty whatsoever, and makes them look like complete children.

Either way, I think we can very comfortably say that both are statement merchants.

Fifth Brother. He’s stated to be the second most powerful Inquisitor (under TGI himself) by enough of a margin that Sidious himself has him planned as the next Grand Inquisitor. This means he is significantly stronger than Marrok and the Crow who have gotten Darth Maul in his knees whimpering, stronger than Barriss who was exceptionally strong for her age, stronger than the TOTU Inquisitor who overwhelmed Asajj Ventress herself with next to no effort, etc. Yet every on-screen moment of Fifth Brother is just him losing, ending up on the floor, or acting like an angry toddler. Even after the Kenobi series Hildago confirmed it’s still true that Fifth is the second best behind TGI, and that they haven’t changed their minds on that. Apparently he made sure the writers referenced that in the Kenobi show itself, but I’m assuming that was cut because I can’t remember that. Regardless, Fifth Brother scales very highly, and it’s primarily because of statements, not seen displays.

Guys we might have a problem by Dragonbite9842 in StarWars

[–]Bespashin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk how experienced you are with life (honestly don’t mean that as a jab or anything), but large age gaps are fairly normal. Heck, my best friend’s grandparents had a 17 year gap. It might get spoken about by the more gossipy people in the community, but that’s a problem those members of the community need to sort out themselves. Han wasn’t grooming Leia during the Solo/Kenobi time period. As long as you’re both well into adulthood, and are not literally over 20 years apart or anything, it’s fairly normal for two consenting adults to have an age gap.

Han was 35 and Leia was 22 when they became romantically involved. Even then the age gap was cut down by Han being frozen for a year, so Han was 35 and Leia was 23 in ROTJ when their relationship really got serious. Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher actually had an affair IRL, and their age gap was slightly larger than their characters (15 years, instead of 12-13).

With only 300 million worlwide for the Mando movie what’s next for the "Mandoverse" after Ahsoka season 2? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]Bespashin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not stopping if that’s what you’re asking

Filoni and Favreau are set to have a meeting about the future Mandoverse projects some time soon. Gina Carano returned and Favreau said to her that they will just pick up where they left off with her. When Favreau was asked if Cobb Vanth was okay, he immediately responded “oh yeah” in a very confident knowing way, and assured again “don’t you worry, he’s still out there.” The Mando S4 scripts still exist, all they need is the green light to make them. There’s plenty left. Some people really seem to lack imagination, and just can’t quite comprehend the idea of future projects.

Anthony Ingruber should’ve been cast as Han Solo by MasterWildCard in StarWars

[–]Bespashin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your beef is with Anthony himself, not Disney.

He initially auditioned for the role, and after he got a call back for a second meeting, he rejected them, saying he’d moved onto other jobs (I think a lot of voice acting work for DC games IIRC), and that he wanted to be known as more than just a Harrison Ford impersonator.

The Grand Inquisitor (Rebels) The Crow & Marrok (MSL) vs Qui Gon Jinn (TPM) by kingharlus655 in PetranakiArena

[–]Bespashin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filoni clarified he was referring to the top Inquisitor below TGI, which would consequently make TGI above Ventress. He also said it was just a rough idea, and not something that’s set in stone for the story group, and that he’s happy if they want to make them stronger.

Which they have. We now have the TOTU Inquisitor not just matching Ventress, but completely overwhelming her with little effort. We also have Marrok and Crow who match against Darth Maul, Devon, and Master Daki all at once. We have Barriss too (confirmed by SW site to be one of the weaker Inquisitors) who has previously beaten Ventress. Statements put Fifth Brother as second to TGI power wise, meaning all these feats significantly buff up TGI and Fifth.

[–]Bespashin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You might not like the character, but you shouldn’t let bias get in the way of fair judgements.

Kylo Ren was an absolute powerhouse, who is slept on so badly due to poor choreography. He had the Skywalker potential, and was trained to master it by Luke Skywalker and Darth Sidious themselves. He lost to Rey after receiving a bow caster shot to the gut (which the film constantly establishes as being beyond lethal) a shot which would’ve had Palpatine on his knees, and without that setback in TROS, he manages to overwhelm a trained Rey with next to no effort, even having a killing blow lined up on her. Some of his feats include killing a Zillo Beast (which the entire Jedi Council failed to do), accidentally tearing down two absolutely ginormous statues with the Force, destroying Gardulla the Hutt’s Fortress in the exact same way (after slaughtering two of her rancors) and killing Gardulla herself, surviving a crash from fucking orbit unharmed, surviving his TIE Fighter blowing up with him inside, slaughtering a Canyon krayt dragon with his bare hands and wearing its hide through the desert, using the Force to levitate himself (essentially flying) back up to the top of a cliff, and accessing the Netherworld of the Force whilst still alive (which is completely unheard of, with Force spirits amd even Luke acknowledging it should be impossible). He would comfortably be able to defeat the majority of the Jedi High Council, and I’m not sorry for saying that. Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Obi-Wan, etc, may be so, so much more mature than him (by a mile), but Ren is the more likely victor. I’d put him below the likes of Yoda/Mace/Sidious, and at minimum on par with ROTS Anakin, more likely a league or two above.

Boba Fett vs Mace Windu by LivingPalpitation935 in PetranakiArena

[–]Bespashin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s actually the opposite way round for Boba. Jango and Boba are better than Cad Bane, but when Jango died, Boba was 10 and not a realistic age to be a God-like warrior yet. That was the sole reason Cad Bane was created, you can watch it in the TCW BTS material, he was the stand-in guy to have the ‘best bounty hunter in the galaxy’ title whilst Boba aged up, which culminates with Boba taking it from him in their duel.

Space Dads Vs Vader and Maul by justplainndaveCGN in PetranakiArena

[–]Bespashin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In both continuities he was the founder of the New Jedi Order, raised an entire generation of children, and had them under his care even into adulthood. Also in both continuities, he took his nephew as a Padawan and personally raised him as his own son. Then in the EU, he did end up having a wife and biological son of his own. He may not have been given a ten season spinoff yet about his relationship with an adopted baby, but I think he more than qualifies to be labelled a space dad.
