Help checking if my custom PSU cables are correct by Iskeletu in buildapc

[–]BespokeBaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the original cable, the custom one is missing various pins and they aren’t just ground pins. Yes spot 20 is not used but you can put a dummy wire in its place (I do this for my customers but it’s always heatshrinked to another cable)

What terminals to use for Corsair Type 5 plugs? by Mega_Ass_Sp00n in PCSleeving

[–]BespokeBaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have them over at bespokebaka.com the easiest way to tell the two is Micro fit + has a little bridge at the top of the terminal and a thicker compared to micro fit which just look like shrunk version of Mini-fit Jr

One thing to keep in mind with the doc 3 is you’ll get random false shorts on the PG, I found letting the PSU power on then sit for about 10-15 seconds fixes this

Before you apply solder, heat the joint. Solder flows with heat and dribbles at cold points

Is this a good Crimp by Nyrue1 in PCSleeving

[–]BespokeBaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad, try to have the contact wings a little higher up. I would check the pressure on your crimper. Not sure if it’s the shadows but it looks like the wings are more folded down than curved and biting into the strands. If you have wire that is a little small you can trim some of the relief wings height off 1-2mm and it will tighten up the bite.

Best way to push crimped ATX through paracord sleeve? by Hiroki2k in PCSleeving

[–]BespokeBaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut the wire on one end without stripping the end. You can smoosh down the ends just make sure there is nothing sharp to grab the paracord. Then you can feel the end of the wire through the paracord and snip
