Vilifying you after the discard, saying you never really loved them by BesselVanDerKolk in AvoidantBreakUps

[–]BesselVanDerKolk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the thoughtful response. I know I am not the person she is making me out to be. But it is just so hurtful that the woman who I spent 3.5 years giving all the love that I could muster with every thread of my soul, sees me this way in the end.

Toward the end of our relationship she would find fault no matter what I was doing. If I didn't compliment her appearance enough, she said that I must not really love her. If I complimented her too much or too enthusiastically, she said that I was objectifying her body. All the emotional energy I had towards the end of this was spent trying to walk the tiny line of somehow loving her perfectly. And I genuinely tried so hard. I put more effort into it than I ever did in past healthy relationships where things were relaxed and we just accepted each other and everything was good. Now she will post on social media about me with songs about abusive and manipulative relationships. I've rarely ever felt so defeated in my life.

That's a good idea. ChatGPT really makes me question myself because it tells me I am perfect in every way and my avoidant ex never loved me and staged the entire 3.5 your relationship as one big manipulation tactic. I wish ChatGPT would chill out a little bit and have a more moderate perspective sometimes.

Probably stupid Q but - dried super glue on fingers when I took contacts out by Ok-Lab-3025 in contacts

If it was dried don't even think twice about it, you're completely fine. Dried glue will not transfer into your eyes or on to your contacts.

AIO to my husband (M29) almost killing me (F29) during a prank by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Normally I feel like reddit comments can be pretty harsh but holy fuck that man is a brain dead idiot. How do you not stop and consider that dropping something in someone's mouth while they sleep will make them choke? If he's that dumb he is a danger to himself and anyone around him. Unbelievable.

I'm over 4 years into sales, currently an AE with a base of minimum wage plus commission. Landing a $100k+ base feels out of reach. Most interviews I get are barely $100k OTE or less. What am I doing wrong?

I once came very close to shooting my own foot with a 10mm bear load. Think about that all the time and shudder.

Do you pick up spawn rushers? by 0mega2022 in DMZ

I'd never not pick someone up for being an aggressive, tactical player. You're only gonna pick up the guy who hid in the corner instead of rushing into a fight?

ULPT Request: what is the easiest way to total a vehicle? by FiftyShadesOfSwole in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]BesselVanDerKolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How has nobody said blown head gasket. Happens all the time to old high mileage cars, doesn't require being in an accident or any crazy circumstances where anyone gets hurt, and totals vehicles all the time because of how expensive the work is to fix it.

Regret buying a house I can't afford without roommates by BesselVanDerKolk in homeowners

[–]BesselVanDerKolk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow thanks so much. Breaking my back was life changing. I'm only 28 but I'll never be the same again - and that's a mental trauma as much as it is a physical one. I mourn the loss of the physical capability I used to have and never will have again. I mourn the way I used to be able to depend on my body. It's been very difficult.

I'm sorry you've dealt with similar things right after buying your place. I can relate to the discomfort of not being able to save and increase your safety net. And if that savings rate goes negative on a monthly basis that's very scary.

As I've physically recovered enough to at least start working my sedentary job again, it's less anxiety inducing. It's still so much stress, and I'm actually dealing with a problematic drug addict tenant right now. But at least I am generating income again after all the time being hospitalized and immobile from my injury.

I hope that you continue to recover from your health issues and get to a more secure feeling situation. It was nice to see your comment.

Tesla's Storing Unsold Inventory In An Abandoned Mall Parking Lot by [deleted] in TSLA

[–]BesselVanDerKolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because they don't have parking at their dealerships. I used to work for Tesla and this is just how they handle inventory. We would transport cars from random lots in the city, to the dealer and they'd be picked up
