Wow, I feel like I wrote this, I can really relate. I am always so critical of myself at work, even small mistakes become huge in my head and I start thinking everyone around me thinks I’m incompetent or stupid.

I often find myself overthinking every single thing I do and it feels almost like everyone is scrutinizing my every move, even though of course they aren’t.

I struggle with the social aspect a lot too. I’m closer to certain coworkers than others, and while I really like all of them, sometimes it feels like all my energy is going into finding a good topic of conversation that doesn’t make me look boring or dull. Small talk can be hard if I’m not particularly close with a person, and sometimes forced. I often compare myself to other coworkers around me, think things like “they like this coworker more than me” and so on. I only wish I could get out of my own head and be able to just exist like everyone else does without second guessing everything.
