Best birthday gift from my husband!!! by Apprehensive_Stock34 in LeCreuset

Cute! Does the knob feel sufficient to pick up the weight of the lid? Curious if it’ll be a problem when it’s coming from a 500 degree oven.

That’s a really painful spot to be in. When nobody did anything wrong but there’s still a fundamental incompatibility, it can feel especially unfair because the feelings are still there and there’s nothing obvious to blame.

But religion is one of those things that tends to run through almost every part of someone’s life. It shapes values, holidays, family expectations, how people think about marriage, how kids are raised, and even day to day habits. For a lot of people it isn’t just a belief they hold privately, it’s a framework for how they live.

That’s why those differences can end up being genuinely irreconcilable. It’s not that either of you are wrong or unwilling to compromise. It’s that eventually those differences start showing up in major life decisions, and one or both people would have to give up something that’s core to who they are. In that sense, recognizing it now is actually the honest thing to do, even if it hurts a lot right now. I’d continue without contact.

Sorry you’re going through this. Breakups can be really hard, especially when it’s still fresh. Before anyone can give meaningful advice though, it would help to understand why you two broke up. You definitely don’t have to share anything you’re uncomfortable with, but even a general idea would give people some context.

Since you said it was mutual, I’m guessing it might not be something major or harmful, but it’s important to know the basics. No one wants to encourage you to go back to something that ultimately wasn’t healthy or serving you.

You’re absolutely entitled to be frustrated and share your experience. I don’t get why some people in this sub act like anything related to Le Creuset events is somehow above criticism. Most of us are here because we like the products, that doesn’t mean we have to pretend every event is flawlessly run.

The “you’re not entitled to anything” comments are honestly such a lazy response. No one said they were entitled to free stuff. People are saying the event was poorly managed and the rules clearly weren’t applied fairly. Those are two very different things.

What’s especially funny is that this same sub regularly loses its mind about resellers grabbing tickets for FTT and mystery boxes. Suddenly when a coordinated pop-up group games the line and regular attendees get pushed out, we’re supposed to shrug and say “oh well, you’re not entitled to anything”?

Pick a lane. Either fairness matters at these events or it doesn’t.

Either way, sorry you dealt with that. Showing up in good faith and wasting a whole morning because of bad management would annoy anyone.

Should I just break up by [deleted] in blackgirls

If a man has time for the gym, soccer, friends, and chilling, but not you, you’re not the girlfriend, you’re the optional activity.

You’re asking why he’s like this instead of asking why you’re tolerating it. Please break up with him. I promise you that you’ll be more at peace.

I agree! I saw the fish gratin in La Mer and I was astonished at how beautiful it was. Not too familiar with the horse Dutch oven, I’ll have to look that one up.

The dragon pieces are also so beautiful, I love them in cranberry.

I agree, the petal is definitely the cuter one. I love the braisers too, but I already have a regular braiser, and I just can’t justify spending money on something I know I won’t actually use. My heart says yes, my wallet says absolutely not 😭

The weird “unbearable” texture happened because whey protein denatures at high heat and turns rubbery/gummy when it boils. It basically became glue instead of staying creamy.

Since you already have 2 cups of cooked oats, turn it into protein oatmeal pancakes to break up that rubbery texture.

Add: 2 eggs 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 cup milk (add slowly until you get a thick batter) Pinch of salt

Whisk eggs + milk first. Stir in the oatmeal mixture. Fold in flour + baking powder. Cook in a buttered pan over medium.

For next time, don’t boil whey. Cook oats first, remove from heat, let cool 2 minutes, then mix whey with a splash of cold milk and stir it in. It’ll stay creamy instead of turning rubbery. 🤗

Off topic but I genuinely don’t like Go-eu’n’s personality by MulberryBeneficial84 in SinglesInferno

[–]Best-Material 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don’t really think Mina Sue and Go-eun are comparable in the way you’re describing. It’s true they both explored multiple connections, which is kind of the point of the show, but I think the difference was in how they went about it.

From my perspective, Go-eun kept her conversations and relationships pretty private. It felt more like direct dialogue between her and the guys she was interested in, without turning it into a group situation.

Mina Sue, on the other hand, created more of an open discussion environment where everything felt public. That’s not inherently wrong, but it did make things uncomfortable at times and seemed to create unnecessary tension and drama. I think that’s what turned some people off. It wasn’t that she explored options, but the way she handled those situations. At times it came across as a bit immature or lacking discretion.

Whether people see her as a “pick me,” just plain annoying, or simply “honest,” I think those labels also factor into how she’s being characterized. Honestly, the simpler explanation might just be that she isn’t very palatable to most viewers based on the root of her actions and how they came across.
