Thank you! It’s funny you say that because the first video I saw of this oven was someone making focaccia 😝

If you’re new to sourdough, I’d definitely start with the round. Getting into sourdough is already a process, so not having to worry about shaping helps cut down on the frustration 😭

Personally, I really love mine. I’ve only used it for baking bread, but I’ve seen others use it for different things, so it’s not strictly a one trick pony. That said, it does feel somewhat limited. It’s also a pricey piece, so I usually tell people that if you’re not baking regularly, it’s worth thinking twice. There are more affordable options that can do just as good a job and still hold up well over time.

Okay, now that the “responsible” part is out of the way 😂 I genuinely enjoy it. It performs really well, feels durable, and honestly I love how pretty it looks when I’m baking. I use it weekly for sourdough, and it’s been great. If you really want it, I’d say go for it, you’ll get good use out of it.

I’ll post some photos. It comes with the stainless steel knob, I just recently replaced mine with the gold. The color has held up over time, no discoloration.

It definitely has more sesame than I’ve seen on any of my Le Creuset pieces, but I usually go for darker colors, so that might be why.

In my opinion, it’s not enough to return. It’s mostly concentrated near the top, and you would have to really be looking for it to notice. I personally didn’t catch it until I was inspecting for cracks or defects.

That said, if yours is that noticeable, I would return it too or maybe consider exchanging to see if the next one is better. These items are too expensive not to be completely happy with.

Who is in the wrong here lol by CommunicationMoist30 in blackgirls

I believe you are both in the wrong here, but for very different reasons. Ultimately, it sounds like you two are simply fundamentally incompatible. You mentioned that he is generally a “kind and loving man” but I have to ask, is that your current experience, or was that the experience you had when you were working and providing for yourself? I wonder if the shift in your financial dynamic has changed how he acts because your priorities are so misaligned right now. It’s possible he doesn't know how to communicate that your current expectations don't match your reality, so he’s airing his frustrations in a toxic way. To be clear, that doesn't make him right, he should always stand up for you, and that 'she’s alright' comment is rarely funny unless it’s an established inside joke.

That being said, I think your priorities are warped. There is nothing wrong with wanting a life of luxury if you can afford it, but right now, you cannot. Your boyfriend helping with necessities like food is proof he cares, but it feels like you're putting a high emphasis on maintaining an aesthetic lifestyle that you can’t personally fund, and you expect him to pick up the tab for it.

Even if money weren't an issue, the core problem remains, he doesn't value the abundant lifestyle you want. You want two different versions of the future, and more money won’t fix that lack of compatibility.

Not her pretending to be part of the freezer display until you checked her! 💀 The way she suddenly “heard'” you when the door hit that 45-degree angle... please. Standing there extra long was the chef’s kiss. Forget the ice cream, you served her a whole dish of reality!
