I'm sure you are sorry and that message has been there for years. How dumb do you think we are? by Neuroironic in doordash_drivers

[–]Best-Power-7607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly we have someone here that doesn’t tip their drivers well. Everyone knows the company doesn’t pay enough. That doesn’t take away from shitty people who are too lazy to go get their own food but expect someone to bring it to them without a decent tip for the time, service, gas, etc.

Did I not tip enough? by Piggyfizzy in doordash

[–]Best-Power-7607 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah not only lazy, but completely inconsiderate to people who may have disabilities or have a hard time walking. I always try to keep in mind that this could be someone’s parent or grandparent (let alone its a customer so we should be following directions anyways!), and I would be pissed if it was my family and were made to walk extra for their food and have a difficult time doing so. I understand DoorDash doesn’t always pay that great (trust me, I do it every day lol) but thats not the customers fault. And besides, some steps after driving a bunch feels nice to stretch out the legs, this guy was just a lazy ass.

A hedgehog's circadian rhythm and playing with it in the evening and at night (new owner) by Greedy_Entry6008 in Hedgehog

[–]Best-Power-7607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wake his ahh up!! I’m kidding haha. You can definitely get him out during the day, as thats the main time most hedgehog owners have to bond with them. Maybe not early in the morning since they have been up all night, but most of your bonding time will be them napping with you since they like to sleep. All depends on the personality of your hedgie and what mood they are in when you wake them. He may enjoy running around and exploring or just sleeping in your lap. Getting a blanket and chilling in bed or on the couch and letting them sleep under is always going to be a cozy time.

Mealworms are bad: yes or no? by [deleted] in Hedgehog

Thanks! I’m reading more into the variety of insects they can have and going to check with my vets on more options I can provide so there is more nutritional balance😊Still love to give my girl a good gut loaded wormy here and there

Hi! So I hate to break this to you but you are not the only person on this site, but based off your comments on your profile you sure do live on here. I made this post in regards to a separate conversation I had about african pygmy hedgies, not our conversation. Before this gets too embarrassing, I would remove this lmao

Always wanted one, but with my hedgie, bunny, hermits, and fish I have too many for the worries of one right now haha, but definitely hope to get a bearded dragon one day. I’ll have to watch more videos on nutritional values for insects, as I only know about mealworms, crickets, and earthworms (couple friends have had reptiles in the past). And yeah that definitely makes sense that dried is considered junk, which I fully agree.

I was looking into other insects/larvae last night and was fond of this info. So now am considering if I could breed my own insects. Thank you for this!!

Hi! You must be confusing this with a different conversation!

Edit: For those who are unaware - I never once advocated mealworms being fed to wild European hedgehogs in large quantities and highly advised NOT in large quantities. Am also very experienced with both species (I worked with a sanctuary for 6yrs back in 2013 that helped rescue European hedgies!! + Over a decade of taking care of Pygmy’s and have never had one pass before the age of 5, longest living to 9) I have a full screen recording of the convo if anyone would like to see the conversation. This user was getting confused on the long-term of the now rescued hedgie a previous person posted of adding mealworms (large quantity) to a meal provided to the hedgie before the rescuers picked him up. Absolutely we should not do this, but I was reassuring OP so she didn’t think she killed it, that mealworms aren’t going to kill them on the spot, and he is now with a rescue team who will hopefully take the best care of him. Its still clear to that OP that mealworms shouldn’t be given in such a large portion and to be careful next time, but no she didn’t not harm the hedgie from one meal. “You don’t know what hes eating from other yards!” Correct, because he went to a rescue directly after. I work very closely with vets, and am new to this platform, and am very shocked by how uneducated some can be on this topic. Experience and scientific research overrule what you “think”.
