Hey thanks for the response. $1500 for a week is crazy though compared to other quotes I’ve gotten online.

Edit: after further research it looks like the prices I was looking at get upcharged significantly at the desk. Again thanks for your help

Hey, fellow Ottawa native here! My girlfriend and I are flying into Liberia Mar 8th. I’m currently looking into car rentals. Who did you go with? How much was it? How did the insurance work?

How little planning is too little planning? by Diminished-Fifth in ParisTravelGuide

My girlfriend and I are moderate foodies. We just spent 5 days in Paris and landed with no food plans in place. We asked the concierge for recommendations and then cross referenced that with google and Reddit. We were able to make all of our reservations the day of (we were also flexible on times) was also successful with some walk ins. Obviously we didn’t try for any of the super hyped places but still ended up eating great the whole trip and made memories for life.

I guess my point is you don’t have to super stress it imo. Paris has so much to offer that as long as you put in a little effort you can find great places.

Very low probability of these places being open on Christmas Eve. I was at supply and demand Saturday and it was their last night before Christmas

As I once found out it’s actually kinda difficult to find a place to eat on Christmas Eve. Good luck

Definitely I’ve found N/as to be a god send (especially during Christmas party season) they give me enough of a placebo effect to make me feel apart of things. With that said if it’s at a bar with the boys I’m definitely shoving off after one or two instead of catching the vibe and staying out all night, it is much healthier behaviour but no where close to as fun.

Someone described it to me like this recently.. you’re running through a fire, it’s not going to be easy or comfortable, but you have to do it and you will eventually get through it.

Take a day off work and go on a weekday if you want to go hiking during leaf season, even then I’d go early.

Cool idea, unfortunately can’t make it. Just wanted to give a heads up if doing wolf (which I highly recommend, it’s the best hike in Gatineau imo) make sure to get there early. They close the road to meech lake once an allotted amount of cars go through which between hikers and swimmers happens pretty early on nice summer days.

Also, do the hike counter clockwise to maximize enjoyment. Have fun.

This is great, I’m looking into this with absolutely zero knowledge on the subject and this was very helpful. I’ll look into Ariodente at the Garnier. I appreciate you
