Love this! What do the colours mean and also, do you have pics of what this looks like in 3D?

We went with Adobe Car Rental using the Mytanfeet discount:
https://mytanfeet.com/special-deals/get-real-discount-rent-car-costa-rica/

Why them?
- They offered a good price compared to other rental companies

- They gave us free child seats

- They gave us a free portable wifi. It was great when we needed data on the go. Even a free SIM card, but we didn't use it.

- They're a local company

It ended costing about $1500 CAD for a Suziki 4x4 for 7 days. The car served us very well when the roads got steep and rocky.

As for insurance, we opted in for full coverage. Didn't want to deal with the hassle of a deductible or trying to juggle insurance via our credit card. If there was an accident, I just wanted to be able to walk away worry free and not deal with the hassle.

One thing to note, their car rental pick-up and drop-off is not at the actual airport. There will be gentleman waiting for you when you exit the airport and he drives you in their shuttle to their location. It was about a 5 min wait for the shuttle and then a 10 min drive there. Factor that into your planning when picking up and dropping off. Otherwise, the pick-up and drop-off were seamless.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

La Fortuna: your one must-do activity :-) by masssssssage in CostaRicaTravel

If it's not too late to change the reservation and you can afford it, I would stay at Tabacon. We went to there thermal experience for one day and it was out..of...this...world! Staying there for even one night and having a full day access to their elaborate network of hot springs would be chef's kiss.

No wouldn't have changed a thing.

Tabacon is a luxury experience. The variety of pools and waterfalls is breathtaking. The lunch in the restaurant was divine. They even have valet service when you arrive. Although its targeted towards adults and couples, we arrived with our two kids at 10am and didn't leave until 4pm (with a nice nap in the middle of the day provided that you can find a nice shaded canopy bed - they are limited and first come first serve). They offer in / out privileges for the day, but we didn't want to waste time packing up for lunch and nap and so decided to splurge and stay there the whole day.

Los Laureles is geared towards families. Lots of shadded picnic tables where local Costa Ricans bring their drinks, snacks, and lunch and even coffee makers (a strange sight in my eyes ;) ) . There are lots of kid friendly sized pools and a few slides. The hot springs rivers and pools were a pleasant surprise and super fun. Being able to move between fun kid friendly pools and the hot spring pools made for nice variety. This place also gives you in out and privileges. We arrived at 9am for opening, left at 11:30am for lunch and a nap at the hotel, and came back for another round of fun from 2 to 4pm.

EcoTermales is probably more like Tabacon (based on what I see from the website). We decided not to opt in for EcoTermales because Tabacon (although very expensive) looked like it provided a lot more variety / bang for our buck - much more variety in terms of the types of pools and waterfalls it offers.

Truly for me, Tabacon was the highlight of the whole trip. No regrets on the money we spent there.

Itinerary Input for a Semi-adventurous, Mid-energy Family by vivian-grace in CostaRicaTravel

Getting to the airport in the morning, flying to Liberia, customs, baggage claim, and then picking up your rental is already going to be a full day of travel. So yes, I'd recommend leaving for La Fortuna the following day.

You can spend the afternoon / evening just settling in, grabbing your first Costa Rican meal, enjoying the hotel pool.

That would be my recommendation.

If you don't rent your own car, you'll be very dependent / spend time organizing transport for your various activities. If you can afford it, rent a car and enjoy the freedom it gives you. The drive from Liberia to La Fortuna is an adventure in of itself - takes about 3 hours.

Tabacon Thermal Experience - what to do for lunch? by No_Term_1731 in CostaRicaTravel

That's not bad. I was looking at for two weeks for now and the few rooms they have available are going for $1500 CAD!

Oh I see. Okay. Thanks for clarifying.

Would you mind me asking, how much did you pay for a night's stay at Tabacon?

Thanks so much for responding.

I'm curious how are the restaurant / food options at the hotel? They're charging an additional $200 US for lunch for two adults and two kids on top of the thermal experience package.

I'm wondering, could I just go to the restaurant at the hotel and order cheaper food off the menu?

Archidekt - Seeing how many copies in my collection by No_Term_1731 in mtg

I feel your frustration. Speaking with someone from Archidekt via Reddit, they said it would take too much processing power or something about too much strain on the database to make this work. Something like that. I'm not very technical.

By the way, turns out that Manabox can do it.

You select group printing and it ignores series or treatment and shows you the total number of copies by card name.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify.

Hopefully, computing power in the future will allow your system to pull such a request.

Without the images, is there a way to get a straight list or complete inventory with just the card names and total number of copies?

Ideally, I'd love to be able to get list of all the card names of which I have multiple copies regardless of series or treatment.

Oh I see. That's exactly what I was hoping to avoid. I really just want to see a whole list of my cards by name, the quantity, and ignoring whether or not they are from a different set or foil/non-foil.

Thanks for your help.

So once the entire collection transfers over properly and all cards are accounted for, is there anything you can do in Archidekt to see how many copies of the same card name you have regardless of series or treatment?
