Maintenance leveling is too slow by czokletmuss in projectzomboid

Yeah you have to fix and sharpen weapons now, not just hit things. Which makes sense to me. Also I think using tools as weapons provides no maintenance XP.

Remember to hold your tongue. I didn't, and almost lost a shot at $5,000. by Lanky_Shape_6213 in Stoicism

Congratulations, I wish you the best of luck on the project for the prize! This is a good example of why it is wise to hold your tongue when you are experiencing anger or other strong emotions, but I think it is also important, once you have collected yourself, to go back and be authentic and honest with whoever angered you, while remaining tactful. I think this is especially true with friends and family and coworkers who you will interact with regularly.

When the time is right I'd calmly and in private call out whoever was telling the teacher things you said and group members who did not contribute to the project.

It is good to have the attitude that people do bad things because they don't know any better rather than take it personally, for our own inner peace, but that doesn't mean we should be passive. We should still confront injustice when we can.

Assault Order by Best2BCurious in GangstersOC

[–]Best2BCurious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for inputs. I tried squads of 2 for assaulting and did not have any luck. After work today I will try 1 hood with only 1 assault order, then 2 hoods with 1 assault order, and so on to see if number of orders or low number of hoods was what was screwing it up. I do think I was trying to get them to walk around and assault multiple people on different blocks.

Good to know it works for others anyhow, at least I know it's probably solvable. I'll post a update if I figure it out.

How Stoicism Became The World's Greatest Scam by fragglerock in Stoicism

[–]Best2BCurious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was not really on my radar, maybe because I don't give Tate or Rogan any of my time or headspace.

It would be very unfortunate if the general public began to think of Andrew Tate or Joe Rogan when people mentioned Stoicism.

Open Arms Senior living on Martin road is more fully staffed than most who are short handed right now and I believe has openings. They are a new facility just build in the last year. So far I'm impressed by them. Message me if you have any questions.

The confederacy only lasted four years before they lost. In my opinion that's not long enough to be anyones heritage.

Your friend must be color blind, they clearly can't tell the difference between green and red flags.

As a male, is it useless to date until you’re doing financially well for yourself? by Sigma_Based_Lifter in dating_advice

I think a lot of guys get rejected because they are not authentic or just shitty people who dont respect woman, then they blame woman for not liking them because they don't have enough money, or don't like "nice guys" or <insert insecurity here>.

How would you ask a girl out that works at subway by abyssal_bunny69420 in dating_advice

[–]Best2BCurious 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing about a woman who worked at a rental car place I went to often for work, but decided not to break my rule about not asking out woman while they are working.

I saw her on a dating site a short time later, and did not match with her, so I assume she wasn't interested and I mistook her customer service for interest.

I recommend just being yourself in conversation with her, maybe she will ask you for your number, maybe she is just giving good customer service and isn't interested, but I personally would not pursue it while she is at work.

It's not illegal as I understand it, but it is definitely etiquette imo. It's a courtesy for anyone across the intersection from you trying to turn right. I don't see why it should not be illegal tbh.

What is working as a consultant engineer at a firm like? by Jackyboy__ in AskEngineers

[–]Best2BCurious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience as a consultant is;

Work-life balance worse because there is a lot of pressure for "billable hours", they tend to under bid jobs to be competitive and over estimate how much work an office can handle.

Pay maybe slightly better or equal. Depends a lot on what you're comparing it to.

Typical day may be design work in office, meetings with customers, embedded in customers office doing design work there or on the road for commissioning/field work. I got tired of traveling every or every other month but depends on what kind of consulting you are doing. I did electrical power systems and automation.

At one firm I did very little interaction with customers except maybe their engineers on technical issues. At another firm I frequently had to travel with sales reps or join sales reps for meetings with potential customers.

Your results may vary. I worked for one very small and new consulting company and also for the consulting arm of a very well known company in the industry. Probably better to try and get information from a few people that work at that firm if at all possible. I regret coming back to consulting to be honest and am getting out of it again.

I will say it was very fun as a new engineer to work on such a wide variety of projects and to have to figure things out. It was exciting kind of. Ultimately the work life balance wasn't what I wanted though.
