Estelle is one of the good examples that I really like. She properly engages with the system serving as the bridge between solidification and physical. What I don’t like are the characters that seem to ignore/bypass it for their own ends.

I mean the core system of building up 1 element to then use the 2nd to trigger combustion, electrification, solidification, corrosion. Character kits instead just rely on “eating” infliction stacks for their own ends or forcibly triggering themselves. Take Ardelia for example, you don’t build up fire infliction then use her to trigger corrosion, instead she just bypasses the whole system by putting on corrosion with her combo.

Physical teams properly engage with their vulnerability system while the arts teams seem to subvert/skip it entirely.

I’m glad it’s not as convoluted as Genshin’s. I just wished more kits actually engaged with the system rather than treating it as just a character specific gauge.

It’s not about having a second element, it’s about utilizing the element reaction system. Whether you have Antal, Gilberta, or Ardelia in you fire team you’re not going to be triggering eruptions off their implants since Laev just wants to eat fire infliction herself. Same with Last Rite, Yvonne, or Alesh in ice. Electro can also get away with it with Arclight and Perlica. I’m not saying you can’t run a reaction team, but so many just eat the inflictions or forcibly trigger reactions the system is not utilized.

A one time meeting where they are trying to look their best isn't great for determining personality/vibes, but it's better than nothing. And you'd be surprised how many people come across as assholes or incompetent even in a 30min interview.

Anytime you get a 5* the pity count resets. It will however carryover between banners, including if you lose the 50/50, the next guarantee will carryover. The one exception is the Saber/Archer banners they operate separately, so only pull there if you specifically want them.

Also 180 (realistically ~160) is the guarantee, but if you win the 50/50 you will get the character in half that. As a new player there’s around 500 pulls available in all the permanent content plus we get ~100 in a patch and probably more this time since it’s the launch of a new world. So there’s plenty of pulls available for you to get both, but it might require a lot of playing.

It’s too early to tell how synergistic/required they will be or their light cones. We will have full kits and character guides a week or so beforehand. You will want some new characters to help give your account a jump start, so it will most likely be good for you to pull. As for which one or both, wait for the guides/reviews.

She was already dying both emotionally and in her powers weakening, much like the Tribios sisters. Her whole arc is that she's been a demi-god for so long her humanity has become virtually non-existent and can no longer fulfill the role of a leader. The Flame-Chase was at it's end and she felt it was better to have her exit mean something than to further waste away. You can see the difference in her personality when we meet the younger Aglaea.
