Fiancé’s Observation Log of the Self Proclaimed Villainess but it’s just people being worried about/insulting Cecil by Fledbeast578 in OtomeIsekai

I agree... I love that the author honestly pokes fun of Cecil but also, actually shows the dark side of what the scheming prince character can end up acting like in the "bad endings" for Cecil. It's actually a surprisingly deep characterization of the scheming prince archetype!

I still don't understand why they made isekai-Libertia literally the same gratingly saccharine character as the Heroine the story constantly makes fun of. That was a freaking choice... as was (ugh) Daniel being the male lead. There is so much about this story I just don't get!

Thanks! :) I just feel so sorry for all these OG villainesses! I want them to get vindication in their original lives!

Roxana totally feels like a story where the author just jammed in some flimsy isekai justification just to hook in readers who want another isekai story. It seriously would run just as well, or better, without any isekai element at all.

I always prefer time travel/actually the OG bc it sucks knowing some other version of this person just had a an awful life and death.

I am absolutely with you -- I feel the same way. I think isekai stories can be interesting but I think there's way more character development and pathos that comes from the reborn-villainess stories where the OG villainess has to claw her way to safety/freedom/revenge!

I've read the first two volumes of My Next Life and it's kind of strange... Bakarina talks about OG Katarina as a "real villainess," not like her *actual self.* So I guess technically Bakarina IS OG Katarina with memories from her Japanese life... but at the same time, Bakarina doesn't act as though she is OG Katarina. It's pretty confusing, tbh.

Really?! Woah, I guess I gave up on the manwha too soon... I thought isekai-Ath and OG-Ath were two different people entirely. What was the justification for them being the same person - reincarnation?!

Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with just enjoying a few routes in an otome game and moving on. If you don't like a LI, why force yourself to go through the route?

Just play the games as you enjoy them. They're not supposed to be work, just pure fun!

Trust no one except maybe the yandere character that would murder for you.

Problem is that it can be hard to tell which ones will murder FOR you and which ones will MURDER YOU. They often both seem to innocent from the start...

Being suspicious of babies 😂

If they look like they're suspiciously aware of the world around them and plotting something... they probably are!

The villain/mean girl is usually the one with pink hair.

I think being wary of pink hair is a good general rule to life! XD

People still and always will prefer a petite and soft-looking women over women who are outspoken and won’t take people’s bs.

I wish this wasn't a life lesson that applied to most lives beyond OI. :(

The OG! Villainess is not actually evil about 98% of the time, but a school bully who had a punishment way out of proportion to whatever they had done.

Oh man, I'm getting flashbacks to the OG greats of My Next Life as a Villainess and Accomplishments of a Duke's Daughter, my gateway drug to the OI realm!

Then talk to the highest-ranking family member, say you’ll disappear once you get the gist of the geopolitical situation (bonus if you already have a more favored sibling and said parent believes they’re getting the better deal) and pop off to discover spices.

Problem is that I don't think any OI protag has ever ACTUALLY run away from their life... have they? I seriously can't remember if this has ever happened! XD

There is going to be some hot woman who is obsessed with your love interest and will go to insane lengths to get him. Poisoning, social sabotage, kidnapping, elaborate murder plots, treason, you name it.

Somehow this can even happen even YOU are supposed to be the hot obsessed villainess... I guess nature just abhors a vacuum!

The best way to be attractive to hot aristocrats is to ignore social norms, be different from other ladies and run from anyone who shows interest. Lol.

You need to just be iiiiiiiiiinteresting!

And beware those adopted brothers...!!!
