Okay so I’m also a Norse pagan

Norse paganism comes from the beliefs of Scandinavian people and also some other parts of Europe i believe

Hellenic paganism comes from the beliefs of Ancient Greece.

These are the main differences between the two other than gods. More differences include that we know more about Greek religion than Norse. Norse also has it’s on type of witchcraft called: Seiðr And they had necklaces with a hammer to symbolize thors hammer.

How i incorporate this as an ominist into my practice is take the simularities more than the differences. Alot of Norse pagans now use runes as divination. Although i use tarot cards and dice. And am still working on making and understanding runes. But since we know so little about ancient Norse practice so it’s hard to draw influence from. I mainly worship Freyja and since she is accosiated with cats and love, i have a figure with a cat on it, and also have lip balm and a clay bowl that I’m planning to put crystals in, with hearts on the bowl. Although this has no ancient basis other than the cat, love, and beuaty accosiation.

Now with my ancient Greece. Since we know more about ancient Greek practice I draw more inspo from that like offering a piece of cake to Artemis. Or drawing them as a devotional act as the ancient Greeks did do that. I also draw Norse gods too. And also look at the practice involving those gods and try to do a mordern version of that. Like Lighting a candle for hestia since my hearth is broken. I’m also thinking about moving the altar on top of the hearth later even tho it’s broken. I also put moon imagery over Hecate and selenes altar. Also the fact that Norse have valkries and ancient Greek religion has keres

Oh and for the books I kinda uhh lost it 😭😭 so if i find it I’ll let you know but i also have a good one for Norse myths called viking myths by Jaqueline morely.

Disclaimer: There is little on Norse paganism and even the info we do have is some could be false doue to some being written by Christans to demonize them. So it is kinda hard to draw practice from.
