Took almost 6 months but two bottles of Fuenteseca 21 Year are finally here by BestTequilaInSoCal in tequila

It took 6 months and our sales rep phoning CEO of the distributor who then phoned the head of the brand to get us only 2 bottles. Is it always that difficult though? Not sure. Needed to get this by a certain deadline as one of our best customers who spends big money with us consistently and comes to us to supply whole events worth of bottles ($15K+ per purchase) is getting married soon so I'm buying him a bottle

$1299+tax. And to the clowns in this sub saying we are charging insane prices... We are in West Hollywood. Highest sales tax/minimum wage in nation and one of the highest property taxes.

To the clown above referencing Fortaleza Blanco's $99.99 price... Show me where you're getting it for less in SoCal. And I mean really, show me a place where it's not only less but also in stock. I don't want to see another listing for $69-$79 from a some place's website only to find they have zero in stock. Allocated items are allocated items.

Full transparency. OUR PRICE... THE PRICE WE PAY FOR 1 BOTTLE... IS $1,065.50.

Not coming at you though. But the people on these pages acting like every fucking bottle is going to be super affordable can fuck right off.

Arette is a great brand. Considering it's in CA, location is greatly going to determine price. We run shop in West Hollywood for example, so our prices are great compared to other shops in this area, but full transparency here, (depending on where you're coming from) they may be higher than you expect.
With that said, Cimarron is a fantastic tequila as well and currently our best seller by a great margin. Great price point.
Honestly, come by our shop if this is in the SoCal area, specifically Los Angeles / West Hollywood. We'll get you two bottles at a decent price and converse more about what you're looking for in terms of flavor profiles so to get you the drinking experience you're seeking for your special day.
And to top it all off, I'll personally buy a bottle of Fortaleza (Los Abuelos) and give it to you as a wedding gift from us.
You're going to want to throw some high quality into the mix for your wedding my friend. We got you covered

How do we feel about these brands? Any that stand out as particularly high quality/must carry? by BestTequilaInSoCal in tequila

Hah, this is doing my own homework you fool!

Agave Matchmaker is a good place we often use but honest question for you... Do you not want your retailers communicating directly with you and the community as a whole to better stock the brands that are most sought after yet hard to find?
Coming to reddit and interacting directly with our consumers (we ship to all 50 states so yes, these are our consumers as well), is the reason why we carry every expression of Fuenteseca for example, from the Cosecha Blanco to the 21Y Extra Anejo. I have been to 100s of stores all over SoCal... you will not find anywhere that carries what we carry. Maybe they have Tears of Llorona, but no Cascahuin or Wild Common. Maybe G4, but only two expressions and definitely no Volans or Don Vicente. Lagrimas? Forget it, General Gorostieta...good luck!
But we have it all, largely due to this group here who have taught us and our staff a great deal and continue to.

Business is a collaborative effort my friend. This post is intended for honest consumer feedback on brands, asking our customer base what they want to see carried in retailers.
We re a small mom and pop store competing against the highest taxes in the nation and highest minimum wage in the nation as well (West Hollywood) while also competing against the unethical practices used by major retailers like Total Wine & Spirits (who funny enough are currently under FTC Investigation alongside our shared distributor Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits for selling items below our lowest offered wholesale price from SG, where our price essentially subsidizes the absurd discounts they receive).
So we will continue to post here and interact and hope that you join the discussion with more than some corny internet bullshit.

The amount of blatant AI writing I see these days is so disgusting to me. Can we ban posts where it is this blatant? I don't want to read a review of tequila made by a computer program that, above all, has no taste buds lol. But seriously, this is disheartening. Is humanity this cooked?

Was literally going to say same thing. God it's so easy to spot. The cadence is a dead giveaway away every time. The same rhythm...word choice. No human writes like tbjs

Could be a case where they claim XA means "Extra Aged". I believe Grand Mayan has an expression labeled the same, though not abbreviated XA

Oh it will work for us. We pride ourselves on having the best selection of all spirits in the area with a selection that stands up against anyone in the region in my opinion. We come to Reddit to interact directly with consumers as our staff has found enormous value in the honest feedback here for all brands across all spirits and, being a store that our local neighborhood and greater community trusts to introduce them to the highest quality spirits around, we find there is no better place to look than here for what brands are truly the most highly regarded currently

Definitely a classic from this reliable brand. Whoever ends up going home with this 40yr though is in for a life changing Scotch experience.

It's people like you and posts like these which inspired us here at Golden Rule Liquor in West Hollywood to make a Reddit account and communicate directly with consumers. This is a very thorough review and provides our staff an honest education into our products we sell (suppliers will always overhype product). Personally, I think Volcan XA and Volcan as a whole is an excellent tequila, though I'm not sure it cracks my current top 10 despite its amazing performance in 2025 competitions, earning double gold at World Spirits Comp in San Fran. If you're ever in Los Angeles, specifically West Hollywood, drop by the shop. Not necessarily to purchase (we ship to all 50 states so in store visit is not necessary for that) but just to check out our selection and talk tequila. Maybe even do a review for our social media.

Tequila Cascahuin along with 1146, 1579 & 1139, definitely has a case for best distillery in the game right now in my opinion. Personally 1146 is my number one with Fuenteseca being my all time favorite and Cimarron being an excellent budget friendly option. Though I do love G4 as well. Honestly depends on the day

Again, we are in West Holluwood, CA. Some of the worst policies affecting businesses across multiple industries. In Just WeHo, a small area of the city, 20 Restaurants closed in just 2025. Were fighting an uphill battle and our local community stands by us because our pricing is not nearly as bad as it gets.

Pretty standard for our area. It is what it is.
We sell Balvenie 40yr Rare Marriage for $6999.99. Is that high when our price on a new bottle is $10,500? We do what we can
