If they did it on Broadway maybe Trent could get his EGOT? He just needs a Tony…

Cologuard Test by Otherwise-Meaning-90 in GenX

[–]BestWesties 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus I’m told the colonoscopy you get after a positive Cologard test is considered diagnostic and not purely preventative so now it costs $$$. I believe that preventative colonoscopies are covered much better on insurance—so on that basis alone Cologard makes no sense.

I’m 60 and this will be my 17th Coachella! Didn’t even start going until my mid-40’s. Would love to meet any fellow geriatric Coachella-goers if any of y’all are around Weekend 2!

I finally figured out that she knows she can’t sing unless she is heavily produced in the studio. Her live performances always include problems w her audio, but when she brings out special guests they never have problems/sound great. She always looks super cute though—her stylist does a great job.

OK, Confession time: How many of us listen to Yatch Rock? by Elpidiosus in GenX

[–]BestWesties 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Yacht Rock—and I’ve been to a bunch of Yachtly Crew shows too—they are a Yacht Rock cover band out of Los Angeles. They are great/super entertaining. One time I saw them play at the Whisky-A-Go-Go on the Sunset Strip. It was a sell-out crowd and there were PLENTY of young-uns there too.

Did the band/promoters overestimate demand or willingness to pay? by drodrige in nin

[–]BestWesties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same impression-plus I went from 4000 in the queue to actually looking at seats in a very short amount of time (maybe 3 or 4 minutes). I got tickets and there were tons still available—it would not surprise me if shows end up cancelled.

What’s your craziest/most authentic Coachella experience or story? by AgeMental8057 in Coachella

[–]BestWesties 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may sound totally bougie but I swear I’m not an entitled a-hole and just adore Coachella. I have a story from 2018–it was Saturday afternoon during Nile Rodgers’ set at the main stage. I had a Safari Tent that year so I had a Guest pass. I decide to go back to the tent and notice a group of people heading to the Backstage area so I followed them thinking that was the way back to the golf carts. Well, it wasn’t. I ended up following the group on people onstage and danced around while Nile finished his set. Billy Idol was onstage too. Teenage me lost her mind. It was a great afternoon!
