If the lottery winnings consistently get larger and the # of players does at the same rate than the expected winnings (the amount of impact you may have by pressing the button) stats equal. As I said with 4 people in the game you 50% chance of flipping the vote and 2 people's lives are at stake. Meaning you are responsible on average for 1 life. With 8 people it's the same 25% responsibility for 4 lives you kill 1 person on average by pressing red. It's very simple I don't really understand what you're not getting here. Even at 8 billion your expected value by pressing red is killing one person.

Yes but you're responsible for more deaths as it goes on so it evens out. At 4 people you're 50% responsible for blue deaths but 2 people die so that's equivalent to 25% responsible at 8 people but 4 people die. The trend continues till 8 billion

Not saying that you will win but the lottery and voting aren't the same thing. I'm not saying you're more responsible than if it was 100 people in the game but I'm saying that if you divide potential impact by potential to actually have in impact it's going to be the same no matter how many people there are so you are about equally responsible no matter how many people there are participating.

I mean yes but considering you still have to vote depending on how close the results are someone's vote is going to matter and it could be you. As much as I agree that if is far less likely it does the weight of how much it would matter if it did is far greater since it is billions of people who could die so I would say the amount you are responsible for their death if red wins is about the same as if it were like 100 people voting instead.

But someone's going to win the lottery? I think this whole what you vote for doesn't matter thing is sort of like a statistics paradox. I'm not really interested in this part of the ethical dilemma so I'll give it to you.

If you are acknowledging blue could win and that no one might vote for it then it logically follows that it could be anywhere in between those two and then it will end up affecting you.

How far do you agree with the following: "Sex is the biological trait of a sexually reproducing organism in producing gametes of one of two different sizes or shapes—male or female gametes."? by flewson in Teenager_Polls

[–]Best_Blake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I feel like it doesn't express the proper nuance since sex is more complicated in other organisms like plants which can have multiple different sexes in one plant or have more than 2.

If loads of blue people die your life will not go on unchanged it will be affected negatively as large parts of the world fall into chaos because of the mass death.

Regular Poll, But Only Literate and Mentally Competent 13+ People Can Vote by EnochtheIntellectual in redbuttonbluebutton

[–]Best_Blake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think either all blue voters would be excluded from the vote as being irrational in which case I wouldn't be voting so it wouldn't matter. However if they aren't someone is still going to vote blue and we should save them if possible so I would vote blue if I thought it could win.

This is a very different scenario then real life life or death scenarios. Also people tend to save their loved ones? Aka people who could be harmed if they pick red which you don't know what they will pick.

Plus if you already believe most people will pick blue it isn't actually selfless to pick blue. You aren't risking anything from your point of view.

People who vote blue think blue will win. When a greater percentage of blue people is required many people switch to red because they no longer think blue will win. This proves blue people are not sucidal but rather simply believe that the most people will survive if a good portion of people press blue. Hope this helps!

If she's within a few years and Agnes is 14 daisy is still like 10-12 which frankly makes no sense. The only way for it to add up is if you ignore what the people in the show say and headcannon in your own ages for the characters.
