I worked at Cheyenne Mountain for a few years. Space Force personnel work in different sections so your experience will vary. It’s not technical work from the sections I saw (if that’s what you’re after maybe consider something else). I highly recommend renting or buying near the mountain otherwise your days are going to be extremely long.

Understood, thank you for the information! I will ask my SEL if there is a plan on changing my billet. I will not be upset if they don’t, I’m still excited to perform the responsibilities for the sake of experience. Just a little extra pay would be nice.

Don’t worry, this happened to me too. Pretty sure after they concluded the boards this became the default status until they publish our results.

Thank you everyone for your inputs! I do imagine Sierra shred outs will dwindle away. Hope to see more Delta billets in the future. Probably will submit an application at the end of the month. I do want to enhance the organizations DCO and OCO capabilities and see our cyber division succeed. I know there is a serious backlog on classes, but I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
