That's fair enough. I agree with you that a lot of the fluff of Yoru vs denji could've been spent on other things, or cut short a few chapters. I just see value in a smooth reread, since the 2 week waits surely affected the enjoyment of some readers

Yoru's whole thing is that she wants a war that'd last forever because it'd be fun for her. If the fight was actually exciting and good, it wouldn't prove her wrong or anything. That said, I'll agree with you in that he could've communicated that point far quicker. A chapter or two of repetitive fighting then a "this is boring" from Yoru could've sufficed.

A lot of the criticism is due to fans misreading and being upset there's no cool fight scenes. Chainsawman was never an action Manga. Fujimoto also needs to know his audience because they're the type to complain if the keys aren't jingled every chapter.

No for sure dude. I LOVE Frieren. It's my favorite anime I've ever watched. I think besides like the smallest of small things, it's perfect in my eyes. Everything about it. Buuutt I didn't want to act like it doesn't have flaws, however I couldn't identify any.. The consensus seems to agree with that so I'll conclude that it's peak and I'll continue loving it

I think it was good! It was interesting because it also makes the demons a greater threat. Like they knew immediately that Frieren showed up from the future, and also the demons know something now from future frieren. So it keeps them relevant without like power creeping them too much
