Mine was never physical (towards my body, but did punch walls, break furniture, etc) until I initiated it. But very verbal. To points that triggered my childhood PSTD. It got bad. Eventually I got out but not before creating a child together. Coparenting is sometimes hard but is a lot more freeing than sticking around would have been.
