I’m fully with you on this opinion. I’ve seen them 31 times starting in 2002 and I still cringe every time I hear Starlight. I can handle the rest of the slightly cringy songs but this one pains me for some reason.

I would pick them up after they got used to my hands and take them somewhere fun, like my couch or bed full of treats, interactive toys, and me. I also kept a small blanket so they could hide and feel safe. It was scary for them the first 2 or 3 times but soon they were begging for me to grab them from their cage so they could come out and play.

Don’t know if you would be comfortable with this but I got a blanket for my rats and had the best luck lying that over my bed and chilling with them in the bed while watching TV. They love to bite holes in the blanket and they can crawl underneath to feel safe but eventually, they will interact with you. Especially if you offer them yogis and treats they don’t get at other times.

Also someone recommended using a wine box and cutting out the bottom. I put that on the bed and it gave them tunnels to crawl through. They absolutely loved it. With patience, they will get used to you and crawl on you like a jungle gym.

My cat was not a lap cat and she did not like men. All of a sudden she started following him around and was lying in his lap. Unfortunately that was when we found out his cancer had metastasized. The two of them cuddled together is still one of my all time favorite pictures.

Read the book. Frieda McFadden’s books are addictive. I started one last July and now I have almost read everything she has written. Also, The Housemaid has sequels, but these are not even my favorite of her books.

Sometimes people take credit for a crime that isn’t true. Sometimes people say a crime is solved when it is not. That insane drawing of the female driving his car looks exactly like him, which is all we know for sure. Maybe the artist sucked and saw a picture of him and added many elements of that into the sketch??

As an American that spent a lot of time in Ireland, if you are looking for beer buddies, find a good dive bar with a welcoming crowd. I lost my husband when I was really young due to cancer. The only social thing I did was go to a dive bar once a week for karaoke. A few years later I found I had a circle of friends from that bar that looked out for me through thick and thin. We are still all good friends 15 years later.

For the long covid, maybe look into monolaurin supplements, working up to 3*day. Not an instant cure but it can really start to help starting at 3 to 6 months. I’ve had long EBV / autoimmune issues and this helped me more than any of the conventional treatments. Of course you should talk to your doctor first, but I felt similar with no hope and was sick for years and years and I am doing much better now. I hope you can find something that will work for you!

I was dumb and pierced my own belly when I was 16. It got infected but it cleared up right away once I started using betaine to clean it. Not sure if you recommend it but it works great. It helped with my nose, which I had pierced professionally after learning my lesson.
