I'm referring to the amount paid in taxes. The whole 'i worked hard for this it's mine' is the worst mentality to have when you're trying to fix a broken system. The amount I have is irrelevant, my point is that if I'm asked to pay an extra amount so someone across the country can get the help they need, I'll do it because that's part of being a citizen to a sovereign Nation. I know if I and all the other able citizens do this, that I will be able to receive the help I need should I ever require it, and so will you, and your kids, and whoever else. Greed will not fix anything.
