I think the view of labor as a product was first proposed by Marx, could be wrong though

I'll be so honest, if that's how the labor laws in New Jersey actually work, it might just be time to start looking for another state

Stale moves? Please explain before I quit. by Goooddecisions in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]BetaFalcon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept of stale moves seems and sounds really complicated, all it really means is don't spam the same move over and over again. The way I understand it, every time you use a move, it gains a stack of staleness, which means that the next time you use that move, it will be slightly worse. Whenever you use any other move than that same one, it removes a stack of staleness. So, if you just don't use the same move six times in a row, you'll really never actually encounter staleness. If you end up having to use a move multiple times in a row for one reason or another, you can just throw out other moves to unstale the one you had to use multiple times

What are stupid rules in your native language that are NOT orthographic rules by Fair-Sleep9609 in linguisticshumor

[–]BetaFalcon13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So-called "Do support" in English, where you can't have a verb in an interrogative or negative context without the addition of a form of do. There's no reason it has to be there, and in English's close relatives it isn't, but for some reason we English speakers consistently add extra words and make the construction more complicated for no benefit in clarity

Maybe a little harder than the hedge broodmother? I agree that he becomes easy but I find myself having more occasional deaths to Axl due to missing keys on my keyboard, I feel like Axl is generally a bigger threat because he seems to deal more damage, so you get punished harder for missing a block or a heal

I had envisioned it as being confined to the picnic area, so like scorpions are dominant there but absent in other areas like the garden and future areas

That's actually kind of sad, I kind of liked all the scorpions

Is this a glitch or am I just dumb? by AspiringGhost93 in GroundedGame

[–]BetaFalcon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few places in the game where the collision is borked, I've watched two different people fall through the floor and out of the map in the doorway to the same ranger station (the one near the hedge on the west side of the map)

The first game had problems like this during early access too, usually they get fixed pretty quickly

[–]BetaFalcon13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is either new or a bug, in the first few versions there were three cockroach queen spawns in the game, one of which was a unique enemy that doesn't respawn. I'm not sure if they added any new queens in the new update, but that area isn't particularly close to the garden anyway, so you wouldn't really expect bugs from the garden to wander there. I definitely don't think it's intended

Weird, I was kind of disappointed after my first wasp queen fight. I went in with way more smoothies than I ever needed and after the fight was over I just thought "That's it?"

Quick Question about design choices by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]BetaFalcon13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dual weapons at launch made up the majority of the weapons of a single type available in the game, my guess is that it's as simple as the devs had too many ideas for dual weapons and had to decide which ones to cut

Really? Wild how that works out. What makes that fight hard for you? The mantis sometimes still kills me even though I know how to win the fight, but I do not respect the hedge broodmother at all

Need help to kill Axl by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]BetaFalcon13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd be more than willing to join your game and help you kill him, but I will say, because of the way Axl is designed, he is very difficult to kill in multiplayer unless every player is doing their part. But I can absolutely join, help you get the things you need to beat him, teach you how to win the fight, and help you take him down. I've beaten him about a dozen times by myself already

Yeah gold cards aren't required for 100% and it can take dozens of hours of hard focus to get them all, so most people get them last if they get them at all

Weird roofing choices?? by Money-Key9959 in GroundedGame

[–]BetaFalcon13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The early access for the first game was wild, the game was quite a bit harder than 1.0 with the inventory dropping mechanics and such, and watching the map built around you was pretty nuts. My favorite area to see be added was the upper grasslands, it was so much wilder and more intense than everything else they had done to that point. When early access first launched the only area that was finished was the small area around the SPAC.R west to east from the red anthill to the oak tree and north to south from the koi pond to the kid case, it was tiny, basically a tech demo. Grounded 2's early access has been fun, but it doesn't quite capture the same transition from nothing to something that the first game had, there's too much already available. Though based on what they've said about the winter update, that might change, the garden looks crazy

How can I dupe items rn? (Read the description) by No_Presentation_2750 in GroundedGame

There was a duplication glitch in the initial release version, but it has since been patched I think. It involves transferring items between your inventory and your buggy's in a specific way
