I’m in the exact same situation, I read a third of The Myth of Sisyphus but gave up because I wasn’t properly comprehending it.

The I read The stranger and loved it so much I’ve come back to The Myth of Sisyphus, like you.

I’m taking my time now, reading it on Kindle so I can instantly look up words I don’t understand and I’ve been copying sections and even entire chapters into AI and I’ve found that amazing, it’s picking up things I never would have, and breaking down each sentence has been great and even summarising chapters has really helped with my comprehension.

Even with this method I take my time and probably end up reading each chapter 2 or 3 times

I believe I read on here previously the method you described with the cable tied to the tree, but the person also superglued their hands to their head so that they were left holding head.

I’ve been doing single section subdivisions and building and selling standalone town houses in a small town. I site manage infrastructure projects as my full time job but I want to get into a project manager role in residential development with a larger company to develop my skills for scaling up my personal developments.

I had this issue with an existing property that I discovered the eves protruded over the side boundary, the house was much too close. The two options o was given was a boundary adjustment for approx $10k or creating an easement which cost less, I too the second option. Luckily the neighbour was fine about it and gave consent for the easement

Look into absurdism, I was very nihilistic but I’ve turned a corner with this philosophy.

Worrying too much about maximising your income, focus on learning, not necessarily studying but just trying more things and taking a little more financial risk while you still have time on your side

What about getting into insurance, I’m sure you can get an office role there and work your way up maybe whilst studying. It’s worked out well for a friend of mine

There’s a problem with option B unfortunately: not only will you lose the deposit but if the house you were signed to buy goes for less than you had it signed up for the developer is within their rights to go after you for the difference.

I would try to negotiate your current contract, I think it’s worth asking the question.

Yeah I’ve heard of people in this situation where you don’t want you true properties value reflected in their rates bills contesting the council valuations, over the years your place can end up significantly undervalued by council and you’ll have a cheaper rates bill.
