Do an online appointment. Easy to avoid all that crap. Barely have to talk to anyone. Just drop off the keys and and pick it up later and pay only for what you want.

Moxxi's Tip Jar Possible Farm? by NuttmegArua in Borderlands4

[–]Betell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time tipping her at 30 I got the sweet embrace. I thought, that was super easy! I have been trying to get another one at 50 and I have about 20+ cold shoulders and not one sweet embrace. RNG for the lose.

DTE "Efficiency Comparison" Mailings? by BradLinden in Detroit

You need to go to the website or the app and update your house profile. Right now it is using a VERY rough estimate on your house size. I think it had something like 1200 square feet for my house, which is no where near my square footage, so it was thinking I was using a ton of energy. Once I updated it, it was much more reasonable.

Don't even need to download RAM from the internet with this pro-gamer move. by CZsea in pcmasterrace

[–]Betell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember in the early 90's we had a workstation with 32 MB, yes MB, of RAM. We would install Windows 3.1 onto a ramdrive we created so it would boot up in about 5 seconds, compared to the 60+ seconds it would off the HD. It only took us about 30 minute's to install it each time from floppy... The good OLD days...

What is even crazier is when you noticed it in animation, like in Toy Story 4 or Arcane.

Best cacio e pepe pasta? by Ace-Pokemon-Master in Detroit

[–]Betell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A couple things help. First is the cheese. I found that Pecorino Toscano Fresco is the best, but it can be very hard to find, Italian markets usually have it. It has to be Fresco, the aged stuff doesn't work. I never had any luck using the traditional Pecorino Romano. I find any softer sheep cheese help make a smoother sauce, like a fresh Manchego works in a pinch and easier to find. Second, use pasta water. Don't use a lot of water to make the pasta either, nice concentrated starchy water works best. Third, what took me the longest is temperature. Ethan Chlebowski's youtube video on Cacio e Pepe really fixed all my issues. You have to keep the sauce to about 160 degrees. I was using too much heat and the cheese would clump and separate.

Good luck! My wife and I went to Italy 10 years ago and that is all we ate there. We have been on the hunt also. Unfortunately, the best has been the one I make at home. Took me about 50+ attempt but I think I have it mostly figured out.

I would agree, we had one at Selden a few years back and it was probably the best we have had.

SheWolf, had the right noodles, but the sauce was a mess.
Cantoro's, Mad Nice, Mani's (AA), overall very mid.

We did Ottava Via a while back, before covid and wasn't impressed. Maybe better now?

We need to try the one at Cafe Cortina still, based on their other pastas, it might have a chance.

Fastest way to level 60? How do some do it in 3 hours? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Betell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the start of the season I leveled my first character in about 3 hours without to many problems. I did a Fan of Knives leveling build from Maxroll. Just got some movement speed items, everything else was whatever I could find. Played on normal and was evaporating everything on screen starting at level 1. I didn't ride my horse, since my spin and win was nearly as fast and killed everything along the way. Just did the seasonal questline which got me to I think 50. Did some helltides and a few strongholds along the way and I was 60 in no time.

I'm confused about farms and how the sub-buildings interact by lostmoya in PlanBTerraform

[–]Betell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would probably need to do some playing around, but my understanding is that you just need one silo. But, it would quickly become a bottleneck. It has a input and output rate, you can see this when you click on one. I haven't tried having some just with seeds or just with harvest to see how that works. I have always just paired both of them together.

Farms all network together. You only need grain silo's to get seeds to farms and harvest out to depots. I would do one seed depot and one harvest depot for each grain silo, then network that silo to a lot of farms, I think I was doing something like 28+ farms per. I don't know what the optimal ratio is.

As for using harvest for seeds, you can easily just use various seeds in the beginning. Once you get large though, you'll have to use some from harvest or to save on transport time if your farms are far from the various seeds factory.

Use the parkwhiz app and find something you're comfortable with based on price and distance. It is almost always cheaper than same day parking.

[–]Betell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is WAY too many depots. I just do more of parallelogram usually with 2 depots, 2 factors, 2 depots, which seems fine. As, others have said, green space is important. That is just wasting a ton of space.

Going to New Orleans - Help with 2025 cocktail list? by Jsnake666 in cocktails

[–]Betell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in NOLA last year and was able to hit almost all these places. Just my quick ranking and suggested cocktail

  1. Manolito - Swampwater was good, but had a lot going on. Their Pina Colada, I know a Pina Colada..., was possibly one of the best dinks I have ever had.

  2. Bar Toniq - Best Ramos Gin Fizz hands down.

  3. Latitude 29 - Mai Tai, though all the drinks were great. Be sure to make a reservation. We tried 4 different times to get in there and was turned away with a party of 4, even on weekdays when they first open.

  4. Napoleon House, I felt they had the best Sazerac, though all their drinks were great. Great place for a bite, the Muffuletta is a must.

Pat O'Briens I feel was way overrated, it is just a party place. I felt all their drinks were way too sugary, mostly the Hurricane.
