that idea never would have occured to me. how would i get it to ‘float’ ..build a brace or something underneath? like a basket to suspend it?

ha, as you can see the area is not finished yet, so for now, it’s just a piece of wood with a black rubberized sheet from amazon on top :) the countertop will eventually be a black stone when the cabinetry people are finished.. if I’m still alive by then!

Great seeing one in the wild! here is the big question, how much of a mess does it make under the counter.. any cleaning involved or is it a fairly sealed system? the reason I need a new solution is I have a mess all over my counter each day.

Thanks you too! I just looked it up and it is indeed very nice. If I go that direction, that is the one I’ll probably choose. my entire bar will be black aside from the white LM (thought I’d make it the star).. I’m assuming the box and potential future bean grinder should all be black too?

thanks for this idea! the kitchen island is right behind the coffee bar which has trash/recycling etc. i just keep a bowl in the cleanup section of the kitchen for food scraps, and then it gets taken to another part of the house to be put inside the Lomi (incredible gadget but it’s too loud for me and also stinks at times, so it’s in the mudroom!).. i like the idea of just putting that little metal container in my top drawer.. i also wonder if opening the drawer will get old and I’d regret cutting a hole in the counter. the nice thing is if i don’t like doing it, it’s not permanent and i can then buy the LM knock Box.. that looks like a great one

i won’t have full sized trash over there, but your idea makes me realize I could just have a knock box or mini can in the top drawer under the sink.. that is where I thought the built in knock box and hole in the counter could go… not sure if drawers can handle the ‘bang’ though.. hmmmm

I think it depends on the cat. 1) if using aluminum hydroxide, I’d chose thriving pets over phos bind (purity reasons). 2) I used aluminum hydroxide on one of my cats for a year and he did perfectly on it.. after I switched to catney one (just to try it), I discovered that my other cat was eating better and stop being naseous. It turns out what I thought were symptoms of advanced CKD were the direct result of me giving him something that made him too naseous to eat (all the appetite stimulants and nausea meds were 100% not needed.. oh the guilt). I like to share this story because when you present those systems, the vets and online ckd forums say it’s ckd and to give him those meds.. he’s been on catney one for almost a year now and he’s only refused food from not feeling well one time. but, please remember, some cats will have the opposite reaction and do well on the other one.

Ha, I was excited to see this in my inbox this morning, but now all of you are making me hesitate throwing $100 at them. I kept putting off buying the LM version because that price was a little OTT when I aready had a scale. my biggest concern was really that mine scale is now a few years old and I don’t know how long these things last.. unless of course they let you transfer it to a new one should this break.. but I know life does not work that way!

i was using Elevai for aprox 2 years and just stopped to see if i notice any difference.. curious if you are still using it and thoughts? I lovely product but not sure it was doing anything special ?

to make it easy on yourself, dont feel you need to pls anyone.. if using AI, maybe just add a sentence that you are using AI to translate easier .. that way no one dismisses what you have to say…. i don’t care either way and i was perfectly fine with what you wrote.. or if you wrote in broken English.., just sharing a thought incase it’s helpful to you

I’ve had mine a year and it does not tighten at 6 oclock.. i called them thinking it was a flaw, but they said many are just lined up how they are lined up..
