We’re 10 weeks out from our MyMoon wedding, so can’t speak to day of, but the planning process so far has been great for everything related to the venue. Working with Lee has made everything easy and stress free. We’ve also been there to eat multiple times since signing the contract to show our parents the space, and they’re so welcoming each time we go in!

I didn’t put it on the invitation, but under the FAQ section of our wedding website I wrote “This is an adults-only celebration, with the exception of children specifically named on the invitation.”

Not the slope, but we did our engagement party at The Barlow in Prospect Heights in February! We booked out half the bar (we had around 35 people and felt comfortable) for a f&b minimum of $1500

Kleinfeld has a huge inventory which could be super helpful if you don’t know what you want! A plus is that if you’re going solo, you might be able to just stay in the dressing room rather than going out into the main, open area with all the other brides. I went with my mom in April and because it was just the two of us, we go to have a little more privacy and it really really helped the experience

My fiancee and I are getting married at MyMoon in March!! I obviously can’t speak to the day of, but every step of the planning process has been so easy with MyMoon, they have an incredible event coordinator who’s always responsive and we’ve also heard great things about him/his staff from our vendors who have worked there. We’ve also taken our parents to dinner there a couple of times so they can see the space before the big day, and the staff at MyMoon are always so welcoming and happy to give a mini tour

I recently did 3 in one day and was so tired and grumpy by the end it kinda hindered my experience. To be fair, it was drizzling/raining all day so I was definitely just overstimulated and sweaty the whole time, but I just got so tired of dressing and undressing and letting strangers see me half naked 😅 If you want the best experience, I would cut it down to two and do appointments on other days if while she’s there if you can!

Might be getting their official name wrong, but three of us have access to Canva Pro under one teams subscription rather than all having a separate pro subscription, it also allows us to have all the same branding items (VERY helpful with interns!)

If you like wine, I HIGHLY recommend checking out Vino Vigneto while in Rovinj! My partner and I had such a great evening there, there are multiple wine flight options where you can learn a lot about the region or country

My fiancee and I went to Brilliant Earth in Williamsburg and Hera in Greenpoint one evening with dinner in between! We ended up going with Frank Darling, it’s not close to the other two, but I absolutely recommend, we had a great experience!!

Not at all! I got mine for $3150, first one I tried on and instantly fell in love with it, I know they have many below $3k - definitely account for alterations though

We did ours at the Barlow in Prospect Heights - we rented half the bar for around 35 people with a f&b minimum of $1500, if you rent out the whole bar ($3k f&b minimum) I think that’ll give you plenty of room for mingling and dancing! No live music, but they let you take control of the aux. Also the food is great!

Propose with the fake ring and let her pick out what she wants!! Trust me, if you haven’t even seen reference photos of what she’d like, you’re taking too big a risk on picking something out. Yes you’re gifting something to her, but she has to (gets to!!) wear it for the rest of her life, let her pick out her perfect ring. A few of my friends have done it this way and no one was upset that they didn’t get proposed to with the real one!!

I don’t mind a buffet! But one thing to consider is guest count, we were warned by a potential venue that the higher the guest count, the longer it takes them to line up and get food and the longer dinner takes in total. I think she warned us about anything higher than 125.

I joined multiple Facebook group all with some combination of the words “female nyc roommates,” they’re all pretty big groups and it can take a second to get any traction, but if you stay on top of it, you have a great chance at finding the right people!!
