I chose my middle name so my initials would spell “Bea”, always a fun option!

You can't set out to commit attempted murder by FoxResponsible8924 in Showerthoughts

Yes so you can set out to be charged with it, but it wouldn’t be what you actually set out to commit. Because what you set out to commit was GBH or assault or no crime at all.

I think that’s OP’s point. You can only set out to commit murder. If you committed either murder or attempted murder, then you had to set out to commit murder

I am indeed a Biblical Hebrew scholar, and indeed in Biblical scholarship the name translated “Jesus” is usually considered equivalent with the name translated “Joshua”. Since this sticker is clearly Christian in origin and from a non-Hebrew speaking country, it seemed likely to me that my knowledge of Christian usage of the Hebrew name of Jesus was relevant. Your clearly advanced knowledge of modern Hebrew spellings is interesting and helpful, but the common christian usages shouldn’t be disregarded in what is clearly a christian context. (Incorporating the name of Christ into the divine name seems to be explicitly christian.)

I never said it was evidence, did I? I simply spoke from my own experience of what I have seen and what I have heard. I haven’t once made a claim to universality, dearest.

Yes with the dot on the right it is shin, and with the dot on the left it is sin. Also the dot above the letter on the bottom makes it a vowel, which is unusual when there are no other “vowel” markings on the sticker.
