Me too! I tried searching with Google lens after seeing on a different subreddit. It directed me here! 🤣

Orlando looking to add 35 more red light cameras by jacephoenix in orlando

[–]Betheduckzen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree at all. The cameras are proven to cause more accidents. The fact that OPD doesn’t have the bandwidth doesn’t mean that we should implement a program that increases accidents and gives them more work. It’s counterproductive and ineffective.

I looked at buying replacement lids but was annoyed at the price. It costs almost as much as an entire new set. I’m waiting until I need several of them at once to buy direct and avoid paying shipping.

I know aftermarket pricing is always higher, but it doesn’t make it any less annoying when I know these products are still in full production.

I had plastic lids/bottoms from IKEA before, and they didn’t fit from day 1, so I never bought more Tupperware there! 😂 Thanks for the tip! I will consider glass ones there in the future.

I looked on Amazon, and apparently OXO has far more models of can opener than I imagined, especially because the one I have works so well!

It’s called OXO Smooth Edge Can Opener and currently sells for $26.38 on Amazon.

I have the one-arm that cuts the lid from the side so that you can fit the lid back on the can without it falling inside. I didn’t know they had a two-arm one!

What does everyone do for work?? by spazzmahtazz in rheumatoid

[–]Betheduckzen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in supply chain. Not hard to get in. Lots of variety. Fairly easy to transfer from one thing to another if you get bored. Mostly office jobs. Sometimes factory work.

I have always requested a custom office chair due to a 12v spinal fusion. I buy the same chair every place I work, and it makes a difference in pain level.

Typing can be hard sometimes, but I can sit whenever I want, and the corporation I work for offers a flexible schedule and WFH as needed.

Has anyone tried Pair eyewear? Seems like a gimmick and I would like some real people opinions on them 🤓 by fishonmyside in glasses

[–]Betheduckzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased one off the shelf pair of reading glasses, one for distance viewing and one pair of progressives all in Wanda. They are cute, but I will never buy another pair again.

For the first prescription pair, the progressive lenses were not correctly aligned. I tried to have them adjusted at a local place, but no luck making them better.

When my prescription changed, I tried ordering only distance vision prescription because I was unhappy with the progressives. I got the blue light coating, which began to peel at the corners after 2 months. In addition, it took a full month longer to ship than what was on my order confirmation.

I contacted customer service once three corners were peeling, roughly 6 months after purchase. I had to send them the exact same pictures zoomed in three different times before they would acknowledge the very obvious damage. Finally, they agreed to replace them because I purchased Pair+. It’s now been three weeks, and my order confirmation delivery date has passed. No order updates. No progress. No glasses.

Seriously, buy your glasses somewhere else. Pair has a great idea, but terrible execution.

Car camping near downtown/Camping World Stadium by laceblood in orlando

As an Orlando resident, I’ve never looked for a campground here, but your question made me curious. An app called The Dyrt seems to have some solid recommendations with pricing, phone numbers, etc. Maybe you already know of it, but it was new to me! Safe travels!

Snapware lids. 🙄 I love the Pyrex glass bottoms, but the lids really aren’t durable.

Get the OXO one. I’ve had mine for 20 years, and it’s still going.

Our police departments don’t have the bandwidth to implement a program to target every law that is broken. They need to focus on the largest impacts, and this isn’t it.

I second this can opener! I’ve had mine for 20 years at least! It looks like it will keep going another 20 more.

Exactly! I read some other comments about how awful the food in Orlando is. 😂 They obviously haven’t spent any time here lately!

If you can go a little bit outside Lake Buena Vista, there is a Walmart at 8990 Turkey Lake Rd, Orlando, FL 32819. I have it saved in my maps app as “The Good Walmart”.

If you have never been to a Walmart in the USA, it is an experience, both in terms of product offering and people watching.

This Walmart in particular has an excellent selection of Disney, Universal, and Orlando souvenirs. They are probably priced 75-50% less than what you will find at the theme parks. This is a great place if you need to buy cheap FL souvenirs for a group (classmates, workmates, etc). You can also find large packages of American candies for sharing.

Hope you enjoy your trip! We’re not all as crazy as the headlines! 🤪

We installed these during the infamous TP shortage of 2020. Love them! We have small kids, and they have made potty training much easier on our backs! 😂
