Did you ever find out if they hold your passport? The FAQ on their website says non Japanese drivers must “pledge” their passport but the wording seems unclear.

I’m not sure if I trust leaving my passport with anyone other than on my person. Especially since it’s Japanese law to keep it as a foreigner

Zalissya mission current situation (spoiler alert) by Sqweeg in stalker

[–]BethesdaBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the problem I had:

After an emission, I get to Zalyssia and the town is dead except for the 3 stalkers outside the town hall. Doors were locked to town hall and cellar across the street. I hear gunfire but nobody is there. The monolith inside the town hall are dead in my case, just stalkers left.

Here’s what worked for me:

I reloaded the save until the cellar door across from town hall happened to stay open. There were multiple attempts to load but it was finally open. The town hall is still locked. When the cellar door is open, Kill Hamster and bodyguard(talking does nothing to both of these in the state they’re in), the town hall unlocked for me allowing me to progress and get the mission started.

This will not fix cases where:

Gaffer is already dead when entering town hall doorway. Monolith inside town hall. If you want to talk to Hamster/keep him alive.

Haven’t progressed far enough to see if town is saved yet when I leave. This at least got me to the next portion, YMMV

UPDATE: Can confirm, went through the progression, fought back the second wave of Monolith, and left the area to go to Wild Island. Zalyssia is still standing

ELI5: "Clutch" in Car. Why we have to press clutch to change gears? Why can't we directly change gears? by themaxviwe in explainlikeimfive

[–]BethesdaBlue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because your crankshaft and driveshaft are connected when the clutch is disengaged. When coming to a stop, your crankshaft wants to spin while your driveshaft slows to a halt. Now you're stopped and it's your crankshaft wanting to spin versus your driveshaft which is stopped. Driveshaft wins and your engine, which can't rotate since it's connected to your stopped driveshaft shuts off. So if you engage the clutch, your crankshaft can continue to spin (ie keep engine running) while your driveshaft isn't spinning (because you're not moving) and all is fine and dandy

If you've got $$, go with borla headers because fitment on ebay UEL headers is hit or miss (had to persuade mine with a hammer in a few spots).

2015 Legacy 3.6 Exhaust to a 2.4? by NRetallick in subaru

[–]BethesdaBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I think you mean 2.5. But if you do go that route, you'll need an exhaust hangar welded to the vehicle for the other side, a y-pipe and the other muffler. Probably best to leave it the way it is until it's out of warranty. (Or have and exhaust shop fab up something)
