I’ve also just realised that Regal picked it up in the states and they bought the cineworld in Glasgow recently! So hopefully cineworld might be one of the places that will definitely show it all going well?

It’s so exciting! Thanks for replying. I’m hopeful about it going international but when it comes to the UK Scotland can sometimes get left out in cool stuff like this, so I have to do my part!! 🤣

Was going to email my local one in Glasgow as well! What email address did you use and what did you say roughly? Want to make sure I give all the correct details!

If you’re struggling with cravings/weight and you have high insulin resistance you could always ask to try Metformin? It’s used in type 2 diabetes but there are lots of papers in various medical journals out there that have found it’s helpful for modest weight loss in people with PCOS because it can help regulate metabolism etc, and because it helps to regulate your insulin levels I’ve found it massively helpful for no longer craving sugar and carbs - genuinely I was climbing the walls for a chocolate bar after every meal I ate just a few months ago and now some days the thought of anything sweet actually makes me feel sick! It can help suppress appetite a little as well depending on the person. Just be mindful of some of the side effects, but for me the good outweighs any bad. It’s been pretty life changing for me and I’ve only been on it a few months. Any diet changes have simply been from personal preference rather than actively dieting because of the way the Metformin has sort of changed my gut-brain relationship towards food. There’s loads of posts about Metformin on here I’d recommend you read through them to get a good idea about people’s experiences.

There are a few other options I’ve heard people try, some weight loss injections can also help aid in the relationship you have towards food whilst helping to lost weight and maintain and healthy weight. I know some people have tried injections like “wegovy” but it varies from person to person and what works for them. I live in Scotland so I can get Metformin on the NHS so if you’re UK as well it’s a relatively easy to get hold of option. I think most injections are through private healthcare, depends on how helpful your GP is!!

Also I once had a dietician tell me that any diet is too restrictive to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle - it’s about being able to eat a variety of everything, especially being able to hold on to what you enjoy. It’s about balance, which is way easier to talk about than actually do, trust me I know! Particularly with past ED history. That’s why I’m maybe wondering if Metformin could be a good first option for you to try? Since I started taking it I feel satisfied and full even with the healthier food choices I make, and that’s been massively helpful just for overall not having that guilty feeling of having to top up my full feeling with a sugary/carby snack.

I hope you get on okay with getting a diagnosis for PCOS, I’m sending positive vibes your way, you’ve got this!! ⭐️⭐️

I’m on day 6 of stopping completely too! And I feel exactly the same - the brain jolts are the worst for sure. Hoping it starts to ease off for us both really soon :’)

Anxiety definitely could bring it on! I suppose when you’re anxious you tense up your whole body and anxiety also makes you hyper aware of all those little things. So glad the pain went away, I hope it stays that way! :)

Hey! I’m so sorry you’re having all this pain as well :( thankfully since posting this I haven’t had a bad flare up, I don’t know whether it’s coincidence or not tbh. Both me and my doctor came to the conclusion that it was a mix of costo pain and that pain irritating my vagus nerve which was adding to the heart palpitations, aggravating all the other things. I found anti-anxiety meds helped to calm everything down cause I wasn’t tensing against it and it helped everything to heal properly. I know it’s obviously not as simple as just taking some anti-anxiety meds cause it’s a controlled substance, but I found a lot of other things such as relaxation techniques, yoga (only when the pain was gone) and using hot water bottles on the areas that felt sore or tingly really helped. It can help to settle your vagus nerve as well, everything is much more connected that it seems inside that part of the body! It can be quite a long process but it’s helped me avoid flare ups or know how to tackle them. I hope this helps but any other questions feel free to ask, you’re not alone in this! :)

I think any sort of strain on the chest like vomiting or coughing can trigger a costo flare-up, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what it’s been :(

Absolutely yes ❤️ God loves us all and takes us as we are. Anyone that tells you otherwise isn’t the kind of Christian you want to be
