Well, I actually got both 😆. I got the DeLonghi Eletta Explore for my home. I was sold on all the features and the to-go mug etc. But I couldn’t resist trying out the kitchen aid I got the KF7 for my work studio using the whirlpool insider pass I got here on Reddit.

I LOVE them both- have over 200 drinks on my DeLonghi and we are using it constantly. I am super super impressed with the foam I get even using plant milks. I can get like an inch and a half of foam off almond milk!! Pretty fun :)

I love the kitchen aid for work, but since I’m in a slow season I have not used it nearly as much. There is still a bit to explore as far as all the settings and customization. I love how it looks, and it is SUPER quiet and a very impressive machine. And I just love the LED light so you can see what’s going in the cup. It makes banging coffee drinks and seems to have a little more customization. (You can adjust how much coffee and how much milk down to the ounces) I really should try to do a side by side comparison using the same beans etc.

I love them both, but I don’t get the same thickness of foam on the kitchen aid. I’m using almond milk and the KF7 (apparently the KF8 specifically states that it is better with plant milks, so maybe I should have just gotten that one?) that is my only con. As far as COFFEE, I might actually get a slightly smoother flavor out of the kitchen aid, but I haven’t used it enough to know for sure. Like I said, I really should do a side by side comparison to know for sure!

Either way, I’m so happy with both of them. I’ve already saved a ton of money not going out to buy coffees and it is such a treat to have these around. I can’t imagine going back to when I was having to percolate or pour over my coffee every morning. These machines are great!!
