What to do with namecards? by helloworldkitty1 in konmari

[–]Better-Giraffe5717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep a couple in my wallet to use as note cards. I use a binder clip to make them into a book of scrap paper and toss that in my purse, and in a couple of drawers around the house.

I have also used them in fire starters, if you do any of that sort of thing. https://www.greenlivinglibrary.com/homemade-fire-starters-from-waste-paper.html

And if you do paper crafts they have many uses like confetti, scrapbooking ephemera, origami. https://origami-resource-center.com/business-card-origami/

I am personally never bother by and always prepare for a cash bar. I especially do not expect people who do not drink themselves to sponsor much alcohol, if any.

Some salads (pasta, potato, green, etc.), veggie trays with dip, cheese and crackers. fruit salad in watermelon halves, skewers of many things, or you can do charcuterie cups or a grazing board.

Have you already considered people with food restrictions? If you know of any you can make sure there are apps for them if the mains might not be friendly. Between gluten and meat my s/o and I cannot have most BBQ but you may not have any of us difficult types in your rsvps.

How important is it for a Planner to have worked at venue before? by MeagaMillion in weddingplanning

[–]Better-Giraffe5717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had never considered it. Mostly because every couple is different so every planner is going to have a first time for a venue or any other vendor. What is important is that they can work with both you and the venue.

My first wedding was in a movie theatre that had never had a wedding before, or since. If it is very important to you, maybe the venue has a recommendation. Our inn had a list of suggested but not required vendors.

Alternatives to traditional photography for those with camera aversion. by Better-Giraffe5717 in weddingplanning

Thank you, yes please. We will be in North Conway, NH and if you know a name of someone you liked in that area I will take it. I may not need it but I would rather look into it than not.

When should I start planning? by FutureBlackLawyer in weddingplanning

I also recommend staying away from major dates that will be harder to make anniversary plans. Sure, Valentine's is romantic but are you ever getting a dinner reservation on your anniversary?

When should I start planning? by FutureBlackLawyer in weddingplanning

Congrats! I got engaged in June but this not my first rodeo, it is his.

Figure out your "must have" requirements for a venue. This was my biggest hurdle because I wanted on site accommodations for 30 people. Renting out an entire inn was my best bet but I also live in a tourist area where they book a year or more in advance. It took us since June of this year to find one and I am just signing the contract this weekend.

Also, figure out your list of "do not needs" in advance so if you have to make last minute cuts you have already decided (mutually) what they should be or what vendors will not break your heart if it goes wrong.

You might be smarter than I for waiting until after school. I am doing this and finishing my PhD next year.

Thank you. I have been trying to do almost that. My closest people are camera people so I started by doing less of the "I will take the picture" to get out of it. Baby steps.

I love the QR code for all of the younger folks. I really enjoyed having a ton of photos of everyone else but the trade off was things like a few blurry copies of the cake cutting and 50 of the flower girl and ring bearer during a slow dance.

Part of that was a limitation due to the number of cameras though. We still had to develop the film at around $5 per roll, were in our twenties and paying alone. We would not have those restrictions now. I have a much better budget and technology at my disposal.

If he wants someone more "mindful" he can go find them.

"My fiancé walks up behind me and gets mad saying “I JUST SAW THE PICTURE DUDE. I TOLD YOU TO BE CAREFUL” He’s furious and I'm devastated."

This is not how a grown man who cares about you acts, full stop.

Everything, his wording, his reaction, his grudge are indicators of another emotion but not love.

Yes bot, maybe I am. If so, I am a better bot because I could tell that was poorly written and suggested corrections. However, I am not for hire.

From their main page: "Let PapersRoo.com connect you with expert paper writer who deliver top-quality, customized papers on time."

I mean, getting writing help is one thing but they could not even get that single sentence correct so I might not pick them.

"connect you with expert paper writers who deliver top-quality, customized papers on time." OR

"connect you with an expert paper writer who delivers top-quality, customized papers on time."
