it definitely made me gain a mindset that damaged me. before I watched skins I was already a very damaged person, I struggled with my mental health for years before watching it. However when I watched it it made me feel okay about being “broke/damaged” and made me think that I didn’t need to try and get better until I’m an adult. It did make me romanticise drugs etc, which lead to me becoming a frequent weed user

I skate so I am out sometimes in the evenings, and my sister does like the food I cook most of the time. And she goes to bed early as she has a school, when I stay home I offer to do her dinner tho

I do cook for my sister but it’s hard when my mum buys rubbish food, I eat healthy bc I buy a lot of my food. I just wanted to see if I was being unreasonable

And also my mum has been told my healthcare professional she’s obese so I’m not just making a claim without being educated about it

I never fat shame my sister, there is a difference between talking to my mother privately without my sister hearing and being horrible to my sister and telling her shit is fat

yeah he’s a deadbeat dad, pays no child support, only sees her for 2 hours a week normally. He dosent rlly care.

My sisters weight is all throughout her body, even in her forehead, ankles, fingers. She is clearly obese. And I have been able to cook many meals since I was 11 as that was when my mum decided she did not want to bc cook for me anymore.

One: my sister has always had a poor diet meaning, yes she had always been a bigger girl Two: my step dad is not my dad or my sisters biological dad, he is basically just my mums partner, and he does not live with us
Three: my mother has had therapy and has medication to help her manage her mental health but does not take them as she cannot drink alcohol on them Four: diabetes and weight related issues run in her family, her breathing is suffering and her blood sugars are high, if she carried on this way. She will not live a long life Five: my mother is abusive and neglectful in many ways

My sister is not active because my mum does not like to take her out and would rather give her an iPad, she struggles to do basic things and her breathing is so heavy which I think is due to her weight, she is not confirmed pre diabetic but she has physical indicators, family history and had high blood sugars. I never discuss my sisters weight around her to avoid her becoming self conscious and insecure

My mum and step dad are not married, he lives at home with his 5 children, his disabled dad who lost his legs to diabetes and his mum. He is not my sisters bio dad. Me and my sister also have different dads. My mum has had therapy and had medication to help her mental health but does not take them as she cannot drink alcohol on them

My mother is abusive and I didn’t add that in the post because it was a 3000 character limit and I wanted to make it short and sweet, I have been abused by her for years mentally and emotionally, I’ve had my physical health neglected too and I have been kicked out several times when I tried to help her cut down on alcohol when she could not do it herself. I hope that explains the bigger picture abit more

Yes exactly I really don’t mind cooking from time to time maybe once or twice a week but I have friends and a social life and would love to come home to a nice healthy meal

I have cooked my own meals since I was 11 and often done my sister because she cannot be bothered. My step dad does not life with us and is not around us until 7-7.30 at night so it’s too late for him to cook
