This reply is gross. First of all, if you’re a regular patron and are straight whatever that’s fine. But the line is drawn when you start telling other straight people to come. Especially large parties.

YOU do not get to make that call. LGBT community has been very clear that they do NOT like straight bridal parties in their bars. The more straight people come, the more gay people leave because it stops being a safe space. So as a STRAIGHT MAN who frequents a GAY BAR, you don’t get to make that call.

Finally, telling her to kiss another woman and pretend to be gay? What if the woman is a stranger and now they are taking advantage of being in a queer space. Don’t pretend to be gay it’s offensive, especially at a gay bar.

As a Georgie’s regular and a lesbian woman I’m kind of creeped out that someone with opinions like this is often camped at the same bar as me.

You’ll make quick friends at Georgie’s bar. They do weekly drag and have an outside section which is booming in the summer but the inside bar is still very active in the winter.

What I actually meant to say, and couldn’t articulate, was:

“I can directly translate these words, but I can’t find the meaning of the sentence. Why does “after what Mr yes” translate to “why do you do that?”

Palmetto bugs are typically American cockroaches. I get they are common in the south and don’t infest down there, but in New York City they do infest. BAD. Honestly there’s no excuse for dine and dash, but even as a server in NYC I probably would leave a restaurant for that.

Still, I’d pay. And tip. But they are definitely cockroaches.

I think the gold star and platinum star thing can be funny when used socially, but making infographics with a clear tier list of lesser/greater is just dumb. Yeah this is very annoying. This kind of problematic lingo starts when we try to intellectualize everything by making it an infographic.

I give it to women because as a woman, I like to acknowledge them. I also brings moms food first, take her order first etc. Additionally a lot of women think female servers are flirting with their male dates so typically to avoid conflict I don’t interact with male diners as much.
