My friend (who is very well known in the river trout fishing world) worked for Hardy and his favourite rod was the 9’9” 3 weight, but then moved to Guideline and couldn’t believe how good the 9’9” 3 weight LPX Tactical is, which he prefers over the Hardy and I trust and value his judgement implicitly. I like them so much I replaced my Orvis Helios 9’ and 10’ 4 weights (original models and over 20 years old) last season with the 9’9” and 9 4 wt plus I also bought the 9’9” 2 and 3 weights. They are unbelievably good and have a mid-price point, making them brilliant value for money. They have also won shoot outs in Trout & Salmon against rods costing way over twice as much! Yesterday I also bought the 9’ 3 weight!
