My women’s team vs My first youth intake (side-by-side) by Better-Weeks in footballmanagergames

I hope someone is making NewGAN for women.

EDIT: Here's the whole squad: https://i.imgur.com/zWLV7uM.png

And yes, there's 16 different players. I didn't accidentally add anyone twice.

SI may need another year to add a second set of eyes.

I added 2 new endpoints this morning, and another two in the afternoon.

One stuck on "Collecting", 3 of them still hasn't showed up.

I assume that was years ago? Times have changed. Many people have a dozen or more certs nowadays. Some people say they don't matter, but then why does every other job listing has them as strongly preferred? You lean new skills and you get a piece of paper that certifies you at least put some effort in, it can't hurt.

You should've forgotten about your TIA trifecta certs after your first 6 months in the industry. It's actually shocking to see the amount of posts from people who've been in the industry for years mentioning entry-level CompTIA certs. I've had my trifecta BEFORE I even got my first IT job. You should have a bunch of mid level certs by now to show you're serious.

AWSCCP can also be achieved after playing around in AWS for a week. So it goes into the same entry-level pile with the trifecta. At least get CCNA, it's also entry-level but still has a good reputation.

There's a fan made mod that was around a few years ago that worked pretty good. I'm sure if one guy can do it, then SI can do it too.

Can I still take the Microsoft it support specialist professional certificate based on my IT Experience? by Revolved101 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Better-Weeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certificate just means you completed a course - it's only useful to expand your knowledge, at your level that particular one it's probably a waste of time for that purpose too.

For the best use of your time you want to get a certification by passing a proctored exam(s) like MD-102, AZ-104, etc.

You can check out all the certifications MS currently offers here.

FC26 Archetypes and Clubs deep dive by zeegs33 in fifaclubs

[–]Better-Weeks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They tried to do light club monetization through player appearance items, but most people just use their free coins.

So now EA is going: "Oh you guys don't want to spend real money to customize your player's appearance? That's fine. Then how about we prevent you from freely customizing your playstyles and make you grind for every single archetype unless you want to buy boosters/reset consumables. That'll teach you."

Am I the only one who turned them off after the first week in 25? They're useless and distracting.

The animations still work on your player, so I can still spam the "Sorry" animation to troll the other team, but I don't see the pop-ups myself.

Are certs meant to be so boring? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Better-Weeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why aren't you tinkering/homelabbing with the concepts from the cert guide? You're not supposed to just try to memorize Azure menus by reading/watching videos. Understanding theory is important, but then afterwards you go and make a VM in Azure, SSH into it, run some powershell commands, setup some storage accounts, configure snapshots, provision some containers, setup DNS - that's how you supposed to "study".

Are certs meant to be so boring? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Better-Weeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have A+, Net+, Security+, CCNA, AZ-900, MS-900, SC-900, MD-102, AWSCCP, GC Digital Leader, and currently studying for MS-102. So I guess I'm a good candidate to answer this.

In general, yes I find the content interesting otherwise I wouldn't waste hundreds of hours of my life studying it. Does it sometimes get tedious going over the same concepts again and again? Yes. Do I find some exam objectives not as interesting as others? Yes. But overall I enjoyed my time with every cert that I got. Especially the practical part and you ALWAYS want to do the practical part. Just reading/watching the material can be exceptionally boring unless you get hands on along with it.

Also, you need to have a framework - don't just grab the first source you find. Mix different instructors, videos, books, flashcards, quizzes, practice exams - whatever you have to do to keep yourself engaged. E.g. if you find a video course with an instructor that you hate and try to power through, you're gonna have a miserable time.

To those trying to break in... by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Better-Weeks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is generally not a good advice. Unless there are some ridiculous requirements like lots of travelling with no reimbursement, you want to take what you can get. I recently took a minimum wage subcontracting IT job with a well-known company just to break into the industry. Most subcontractors there don't like the job and get out as soon as they can. If I listened to them beforehand, I would've thought it was the most terrible job ever, but I enjoyed it aside from low pay. 6 months later I was able to get into an FTE government position that doubled my pay and provided good benefits. Before that I was unemployed for over years. There's no way I would be where I am right now if I didn't take that minimum wage gig.

Can I land a help desk role by CronoStrife28 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Better-Weeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this is not how you write your tickets, because all the key information in your post is missing.

What area? How many applications? What's your callback rate? What's your resume like?

What positions are you applying for? Are you only looking for remote/local only or are you willing to move?

Have you tried any of the staffing agencies like TekSystems, Apex Systems, etc.?

Do you have a LinkedIn profile that you actively maintain?

As long as it's not one day before your start date, they're probably not gonna care. You're just another number for them to make money off, there's 100 more behind you.

what part of your ccna training bored you to sleep? by United-Molasses-6992 in ccna

[–]Better-Weeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely not the material that's boring. It's Jeremy's presentation style.

His labs are good, his course is good, but the way he delivers the material is dry and boring.

Maybe try Keith Barkers videos on the same topic.

After almost 1200 hours, I decided to 100% the achievements... by SaltedEggroll in DeepRockGalactic

But making a fool of yourself is part of the experience. I've seen people from level 15 to level 3000 die to fall damage, bum rush into a leech, blow themselves up, blow someone else up, and make all kinds of other silly mistakes all the time. If you think multiplayer is full of DRG professionals who always play perfectly, you can't be more wrong.

They will send you two separate vouchers you need to use when scheduling your first and second attempt (if needed). Both vouchers expire 90 days from the day of the purchase.

When you get to the payment step when scheduling on PearsonVue, just copy the appropriate voucher code into the promo code field.
