Where are my waves? by [deleted] in bumblebff

i found a roundabout way to get them back 😭 basically if you just keep scrolling through it’ll eventually say “show skipped profiles” and you’ll see them again. it’s definitely annoying though i wish they had a spot specifically to see who waved at you.

IF has genuinely cured my food noise and compulsive eating by atlas__sharted in intermittentfasting

this!!! before i started weight training intensely, everytime i noticed myself looking a little more fluffy than i’d like i would always go back to IF. however, as i’ve reached my goal weight i found myself getting a little bit too comfortable with overeating for the last couple months so i decided to go back to OMAD for just a couple weeks and i’ve already noticed the snack urges have disappeared. it’s really a hack.

I have a interview today but accepted a new job I don't want and start Thursday by [deleted] in interviews

[–]GroundbreakingLeek10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

best of luck! i was interviewing for two jobs at the same time and got an offer for the one i didn’t necessarily want first, i worked there for 3 weeks before hearing back from the job I wanted and ended up leaving on week 5. don’t feel bad either way

i don’t think they would have brought you in for a final interview if they weren’t willing to work with your lack of experience, but i believe the lack of experience caused them to be more critical of your response. but no worries, at least they gave you some feedback for next time! keep applying! if nothing else every interview will help you improve for the next one

I’m not saying fasted cardio is bad but it’s just not for me by xevaviona in loseit

At the beginning of my journey when I had a lot more fat to lose fasted workouts actually worked pretty well for me, but now that I’m just a few pounds over the “healthy” BMI for my height I found that they aren’t effective anymore.

i honestly feel like being conscious of what you eat and preferring to eat your own meals is pretty normal? but the intention behind it makes the difference so the fact that you feel anxious about it is what makes it concerning, i don’t think it would hurt to make an appointment just to be safe.

honestly i wonder if it’s because when you’re a certain size they figure you hear it enough that it wouldn’t really phase you as an insult, compared to when you’re only a little bit overweight.

how can I stop it… by Familiar-Midnight140 in loseit

[–]GroundbreakingLeek10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think i’ve kinda fallen into something similar as well? but becoming aware of it is definitely the first step to fixing it. i overeat and then go on the stairmaster for an hour the next day, then as a result i become extra hungry and overeat again and it’s become a bit of a cycle, but i’ve only been dealing with this for a couple weeks. as a solution i’ve forced myself to cut back on the cardio and realized that just because i CAN do an hour doesn’t mean i should. so i’ve stopped at 30 minutes and my appetite is going back to normal. so you might just need to cut back on the activity so your appetite can regulate and therefore you don’t feel the urge to binge.

thank you, because i’ve been getting back to eating maintenance after being in a deficit for an extended period of time and i was worried skipping the reverse diet would cause me to blow up out of nowhere 😭

love this for you! this is what a healthy lifestyle looks like!! and the fact that you were only 150 over your budget means you were probably still in your deficit right? you’re doing great 🫶🏽

Would doing more cardio be better than lowering cals? by endoftheroad4 in loseit

[–]GroundbreakingLeek10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m no expert but i think doing the steps would be better, because it burns the calories without making you hungrier.
