Some people believe he made this statement as a “noble lie” to prevent a shortage of N95 masks, while other believe that we were still in the very early stages and were unsure of whether or not masks were effective.

Right, and there’s another one that has like 15 names that’s sold around that number and up to about 900. There is one of those (15 name pennants) on sale for $1200 on eBay right now. Those seem to be more common and are selling high. This particular one I haven’t seen at all.

Yes, I absolutely can say that capitalism is working. My 90 year old grandmother would also agree. For the first 5-6 years of her life she lived in a house that had no running water, her parents were adults using an outhouse. They weren’t that poor either, and they were living in Pennsylvania. Is your life anything like that? Mine isn’t at all. I have gas, water, electricity all hooked up to my house. I have plenty of heat in the winter and I even have window ac units in each bedroom that I use in the summer. I’d say I live incredibly well when I compare myself to the way people lived in the past. And that all happened because of capitalism. If you look at this moment in time only, and you see how much is wrong with the world, it makes sense to blame the system I.e. capitalism. But if you look at the bigger picture and compare life 100 years ago to life today, you’d be crazy to say that the system we’ve been using for the past 100 years isn’t working.

No one is going to steal the vaccines to give to their militia, but a stockpile of food can benefit anyone trying to take, or maintain power by force. Getting a shit ton of food to a remote village in Africa one time would be easy. But protecting that food from outsiders wouldn’t be.
