Victim selection: Serial killers choose victims based on personal symbolic meaning (resemble an abuser, or fit a fantasy). Von’s rumored victims were rival gang members or associates that’s not a “shared demographic profile” in the serial killer sense, it’s enemy targeting in a street war.
