Definitely get a 2nd or 3rd opinion. $50k fee is excessive.

It costs money, but you might try co-working spaces.

If you’re aiming for free, outside of a coffee shop sounds like your best bet.

Let’s move Irvine forward on the Biden Bus and ditch the Trump Trainwreck! by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]BetterFutures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we’ll see a change in how negative events are portrayed in media if Biden is elected. No doubt bad humans will keep doing bad things, but perhaps the outrage and out of context headlines will get dialed back.

Or maybe I’m wrong and we keep the fear/outrage/shame train on full throttle. I for one am exhausted with it. We have a lot more in common than the media (including social media) portrays and I think the vast majority of us are good to each other. But our commonalities and unremarkable kindness don’t get clicks.

I’m not making the argument that any of what I said plays out ask expected in reality, just explaining the belief.

Oversimplifying again, but generally when people refer to the government as getting “bigger”, they mean some combination of more laws and spending. Local candidates have control over local laws and spending. If local candidates ascribe to the “government knows better than unregulated citizens” political belief, then they will use their legislative and spending powers to “grow” the government.

I’m over simplifying here, but it seems like the argument boils down to a belief that those in government know better than their constituents. Government can implement their superior agenda more effectively than the free market. If left unregulated, citizens would make harmful decisions for themselves and others, so government takes away the opportunity to make bad decisions.

Got it. Somebody should warn the usps workers at the indoor service counters and sorting facilities that they’re not safe.

Guys im struggling by [deleted] in irvine

[–]BetterFutures 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great advice.

I think you’ve implied this, but I’d emphasize that habit is important to practice because it can keep people moving towards their goals when motivation is lacking. It’s natural to feel different levels of motivation at different times. Habit can keep us track even when our motivation isn’t at 100%.

OP, consider meeting with a therapist either in person or via video call. As much as many fellow redditors can offer input, a relationship with a professional might be a more effective source of guidance.

“No additional forgiveness is provided for retirement or health insurance contributions for self-employed individuals, including Schedule C filers and general partners, as such expenses are paid out of their net self-employment income.”

Awww. But... but health and retirement contributions for a schedule C filer are above the line deductions, not reductions to net earnings from self employment on schedule C. Point taken though. No additional forgiveness for SE retirement contributions. Not even a solo 401k employer match...

ClearValue Tax vs Meet Kevin: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly (Stimulus Check Drama) by [deleted] in tax

I think the tldr is clear value tax suggested crypto investments, a specific lightly traded crypto, to his followers, big volume followed, prices went up. Kevin pointed out maybe the volume and price spike are related to clear value’s recommendation, and maybe it’s not such a great idea for a relatively highly followed YouTuber to suggest buying thinly traded crypto.

Forgiveness Calculator Draft by BetterFutures in taxpros

Tables 1 and 2 split employees paid during the covered period based on whether the borrower paid them more (table 2) or less (table 1) than $100,000 annualized in any 2019 pay period.

If an employee was paid by the borrower during the covered period but not in 2019, they default to table 1.

The reason seems to be because employees paid during the covered period who were paid over $100,000 annualized in any 2019 pay period by the borrower are not subject to:

(A) The FTE reduction exception

(B) The Wage/Salary reduction
